1. Introduction: What's your story?

HI, I am Sabrina Miller-Castillo and I own Babydoll Weddings. I have been in the beauty industry for 10 years and I could not imagine doing anything else. I am a licensed cosmetologist and professional makeup artist certified in airbrushing, HD foundation and tattoo covering. I started in a small suite but I always wanted to have my own salon. I finally made that dream come true and my salon, Babydoll Hair, has a bridal suite for all of my brides! I have worked to build a whole team of artists that can make you and your whole bridal party feel beautiful on your big day.

2. What's your experience as a bridal hair & makeup artist? How many brides are in there in your portfolio?

I have 10 years of experience as a bridal hair and makeup artist. I have done covers of Arizona Finest Magazine, photoshoots for many venues. and so many weddings I have lost count! I have trained with Temptu for airbrush, and I'm certified in tattoo cover and HD foundation. I am a Level 2 Educator for the brand L’ANZA where I have taught bridal up do classes. I love helping other people master their craft as well.

4. Do you have a team of assistants or will you be the only artist that day? What will happen if you're sick or have an emergency on the wedding day?

Babydoll Weddings has a whole team of stylists available to get your group ready for the big day! During your trial you will meet the stylist who will be getting you ready on your wedding day. Then depending how many bridal party members there are we will send out multiple stylists to get you all ready in a timely manner. After your trial your stylist will take pictures and notes that will be available to them on the day of so they know exactly what to do. If there is ever an emergency and a stylist cannot be at a wedding, another stylist will be sent and they will know what was done and will be able recreate your look with those notes.

5. Do you charge a travel fee? For what distance? What does that cover?

For on-location events, the first 30 travel miles are free. A $1-per-mile fee will be charged for locations outside the 30-mile zone. Travel miles are calculated round trip from the salon in Mesa, AZ. We charge a $150 flat travel fee to Sedona, Prescott, Flagstaff, Payson, and Tucson.

6. Can the bride book a wedding makeup trial appointment and will you also do a trial before the wedding?

Absolutely! Trials are a great way to see your vision come to life and we highly recommend them. Book your trial on a day where you have something planned such as your dress fitting, then you can truly see everything come together.

7. What beauty products do you use and would you be open to the bride using her own make-up?

Our freelance stylists do not restrict themselves to just one product line, but use a wide variety of the best products to complement the individual’s skin type and tone.

We don't often recommend a bride use her own makeup unless there is a specific allergy and she must use her own product.

8. How can you make the bride's wedding makeup last and look good in photos?

Priming the skin, the makeup used, and setting products all help create a long lasting look for the bride. We use high quality products that are designed for long wear use and we make sure the makeup is applied to look good and show on camera. Sometimes this means going a little darker on something or selecting a different color so that once the sun and flashes are on you, you still look amazing!

9. How long will makeup take on the day and how long will you be staying for on the day?

The bride's hair and makeup takes 2 hours but we try to keep the whole process under 4 hours if the whole wedding party is getting services done. Once the services are completed the stylists leave but can stay for touchups after the ceremony, or a look change, for an additional fee.

10. What is your cancellation and/or refund policy?

You may cancel your services at any time, however, you will forfeit any and all deposits and/or payments made. In the event that an artist/freelance stylist of Babydoll Weddings is unable to perform services for any reason, including, but not limited to, sickness, accident, weather, etc., reasonable accommodations shall be made up to and including a full refund of deposits for services not provided.
