1. Introduction: What's your story?

DJ Ray Pinnock, owner of Dance and Joy DJ, brings over 25 years of knowledge and skill to the ever evolving music and entertainment business. Leading the industry with cutting edge equipment, setting new trends, and his all white equipment is perfect for any event, venue and/or color scheme. What Make me a great pick for your special day??? I take pride in my business from the equipment, appearance, my attention to detail prior and during the wedding process. I provide a everlasting experience that people will remember a year after the wedding and the guests that attend. I'm a professional and that brings love, excitement and satisfaction to every event. Making every moment memorable is who I am. I thrive on creating a music masterpiece for all.

2. What's your experience as a wedding DJ? How many weddings have you done?

As an experienced DJ, I will provide the utmost professional service to your once-in-a-lifetime celebration and will work with your event coordinator to ensure the details of the entertainment portion run flawlessly. More importantly, I will also work with the bride (and groom) to understand what type of experience and music you desire and expect. Every couple is different and no two weddings are the same. My experience with hosting events as a DJ will ensure that, whatever style of wedding you want, you and your guests will leave with happy memories that will last a lifetime. As your wedding my job is Make every moment memorable. My job is to take "You the Bride" on a musical journey. My passion is music and providing everlasting memories for the wedding industry. I have done about 400 wedding since 2017

3. How far in advance do couples need to book your services?

Although each and every situation is a little different, here is the rule for booking your wedding DJ. If your wedding is….. On a Saturday, try and book 8 months out. On a weekday/Friday, try and book 5-6 months out. In June, August, September, or October, try and book 10 months out. As a professional I am also available at the last minute if available if the DJ you hired is unable to make due to an emergency. All I need is the music playlist, the wedding Itinerary and I'll be on my way

4. What's your rate? What does that include?

I provide 3 Different packages that fits your budget. All prices all are all inclusive and we provide quality sound and lighting.
We start at the min of 4 hours and up to 8 hours of services. I arrive one hour early to the venue to set up. Typically its an $425 for an extra hour added.

5. Are you available to travel if needed?

I am available to travel to Dallas, McKinney, Plano, Frisco, Tyler and Oklahoma

6. How would you describe your style?

Dance and Joy DJ is the spice on your nachos lol
Dance and Joy DJ is the fire on a cold day in the winter.
Dance and Joy DJ is favorite beverage on a hot summer day.
Very fun oriented and most importantly entertaining.

7. What's your backup plan if there's an equipment malfunction? Do you bring backup equipment?

Dance and Joy has the state of the art equipment and prior to setting up goes over all aspects of the wedding. Back would songs stored on spotify on the cell phone, back up batteries for microphones, and speakers are Bluetooth if wiring goes bad. We are prepared

8. What's your sick day policy?

This is state within our contracts,
" The purchaser acknowledges that Ray Pinnock may need to use an associate Professional wedding/Event disc jockey as a substitute for the contracted DJ (written above) should a situation that dictates this arises (e.g., emergency, etc.)

9. How do you motivate a shy crowd to dance? What do you do to motivate the crowd if nobody is dancing?

Research the venue.
Arrive early.
Study the shadows of the club.
Start to focus on the dance floor.
Remember that the crowd are reading you too.
Encourage requests.
not a demand.
Keeping the dance floor full.
The end of the night.

Making people feel good and getting them dance is what makes you successful as a DJ. Nothing else is more important.

10. What is your cancellation and/or refund policy?

My contract reads:
If the purchaser cancels this contract less than 30 days prior to the scheduled performance, then the purchaser will be liable for the entire balance. If the purchaser cancels this contract more than 30 days prior to the scheduled performance date, then the purchaser shall forfeit the entire deposit amount. 
 The purchaser shall be liable for any and all costs, including collection fees resulting in an “insufficient funds” check and reasonable attorney’s fees and costs incurred in enforcing this contract.
