1. Introduction: What's your story?

I trained to DJ at Dubspot School of Electronic Music in New York City. My DJ style is influenced by my childhood in Atlanta, Georgia (think hip-hop/Country) and my time exploring music scenes around the world. Currently I reside in Nashville, TN, but spent time living in Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, New York and Europe. I also come from a family in the Music Business - my uncle John Mallory is songwriter (Sixpence None the Richer, Wynonna Judd) and uncle Chaz Corzine is a manager (Amy Grant/Michael W. Smith).

As a DJ I have performed countless weddings, corporate parties, school dances, mitzvahs, nightclubs, fundraisers with some career highlights including: Country Music Fest (CMA Fest) in Nashville (2X), Nightclubs in Amsterdam (Clubs NYX and MadFox), the Anheuser-Busch Awards (2X) opening for James Corden in the Bahamas and KC & the Sunshine Band in Costa Rica, NYC's legendary nightclub Pacha, the United States Rakkasan Military Formal, for Dave Ramsey (3X), Shark Tank's Camp with No Counselors, for Netflix's Meet the Patels, at Milwaukee Pride opening for Dave Aude, opening for Maren Morris (2X), and recently for Spin Magazine's Kings of Leon Cover shoot.

Prior to becoming a DJ, I graduated from Stetson University with a degree in Business and went on to work at Astralwerks Records in NYC - the record label home to superstar DJs David Guetta, Swedish House Mafia, deadmau5, Fatboy Slim, The Chemical Brothers. During this time I began training to DJ at Dubspot School of Electronic Music and began performing throughout New York City's nightlife scene.

DAVIS is a former TV star, cast on MTV's The Real World: Denver and The Real World/Road Rules Challenges: The Inferno III, The Dual II and Rivals. In 2013 DAVIS gave a TED Talk on the steps he took to enter into the music scene.

2. What's your experience as a wedding DJ? How many weddings have you done?

I began DJing weddings in 2013 when I moved to Nashville, TN - I worked as an employee for an already established DJ company who trained me on the basics and tips to do weddings well. I have DJed more weddings than I can count - somewhere less than 500 and more than 300 in the 8 years since I began.

3. How far in advance do couples need to book your services?

If I'm available I'm available and would gladly be your DJ - some couples book me a year in advance and sometimes less notice than that. I do have a busy schedule this year but openings throughout the year naturally!

4. What's your rate? What does that include?

I normally price my weddings based on several factors - the time required, the equipment required and the location (travel time included). My standard package includes dual speakers, premier sound equipment, wireless microphones and dance lighting. As optional features I can provide uplighting, custom spotlights (with initials, dates, company logos), photo booths, karaoke, and video/photo slideshows with editing. My prices start at $1000 and go up based on these factors.

5. Are you available to travel if needed?

I am a Destination Wedding DJ - in 2021 I have weddings scheduled in Utah, Colorado, Nevada, California, Kentucky, Miami, Georgia, Tennessee, Hawaii. I love to travel and I fly free on Southwest, so if Southwest gets me there I do not incur any airfare costs on my clients.

6. How would you describe your style?

My music taste is a blend of pop mainstream hit music with some Country, Dance (EDM), Latin, hip-hop influences - I play music from varying generations and love to mix genres together to please audiences from multiple age ranges.

7. What's your backup plan if there's an equipment malfunction? Do you bring backup equipment?

Yes I carry doubles of most all the important equipment (microphones, mixers, cords, laptops) and fortunately have never had anything fail that I did not have a backup already!

8. What's your sick day policy?

If there is a scenario where I am unable to perform - I have a list of backup DJs I reach out to and send in my place. I have never ever had a sick day scenario where I have had to use them, but if I am already booked I recommend one of these DJs in my place.

9. How do you motivate a shy crowd to dance? What do you do to motivate the crowd if nobody is dancing?

There are great songs (participation dance songs or current hit songs) that get a party started - also I love to take requests as this usually gets the group started dancing on their current favorite songs!

10. What is your cancellation and/or refund policy?

Every event requires a 50% deposit in order to "save the date." In the case of a cancellation less than 30 days after the deposit has been paid, 50% of the deposit (25% of the total event amount) will be refunded. In the case of a cancellation more than 30 days after the deposit has been paid, then the entire deposit amount will be forfeited. If the event is cancelled less than 14 Day before the event date, the deposit is forfeited and the remaining balance will still be owed.

In the case of an Event Postponement that occurs 30 days prior to the event date, a surcharge of 15% of the total event amount will be added to the total contract amount in order to "save the new date." In the case of an Event Postponement that occurs within 30 days of the event date, a surcharge of 25% of the total event amount will be added to the total contract amount in order to "save the new date.”
