With so much character and history, many of these Milwaukee wedding venues hardly need any decor or design. However, the Cream City brick that so many of these venues proudly showcase also makes a perfect backdrop to dress up with florals or statement decor pieces. Whichever option you choose, we hope that one of these venues becomes the setting for the wedding day of your dreams.

Things to Consider When Planning a Wedding in Milwaukee

Famous for its breweries and basketball and baseball teams, Milwaukee has a rich culture and history that makes it perfect for couples to host their wedding. There are venues to suit any size, shape, or style at fairly affordable costs. Here are a few things you may want to consider when planning a wedding in this city, which is located on the shores of Lake Michigan.

The Amount You Have to Spend

In 2019 couples were found to spend an average of $22,663 on their wedding in Milwaukee based on data collected by Wedding Report Inc. However, this number is just a rough guide as weddings have been hosted in this city for as little as $8000 and as much as $70,000. Every wedding is unique, with different elements that contribute to the overall cost. The venue and the guest number will heavily influence this price, along with other things such as the vendors you choose to use. Whatever your budget, you’ll be able to find venues and options to suit you.

The Wedding Date

The date you choose to get married will be dependent on several factors that are unique to you and your partner. However, the weather could also be a factor that you bear in mind to help you decide on a date and what type of wedding venue you desire. Milwaukee has long, cold winters that can sometimes extend into spring.  Because of this, if you’re thinking of a date that falls within the colder months, indoor venues will be what you need to consider. However, if you’re dreaming of a wedding under clouds, consider a date in the summer months going from the latter part of June when the temperature is warm and pleasant.  Most weddings in Milwaukee tend to occur from late June to early September.

Top Wedding Venues

Once you have a budget and date in mind, it’s time to check out some wedding venues. Here are some that have been very popular among couples over the past few years.

It’s an indoor venue, and its tall windows, beautiful brick walls, and ceiling highlights will come together to set the ambiance for a romantic and unforgettable moment. A couple paid approximately $2,800 to host their wedding at this venue with 140 guests.

The Best Place at the Historic Pabst Brewery has an amazing history with indoor halls and outdoor courtyard to suit weddings as small as 2 or as large as 300. A couple with 123 guests paid $3,600 for this venue. This historic gem can be found in the middle of downtown with exquisite architecture to add that unique touch to any wedding.

1903 Events at the Harley Davidson Museum offers couples many different venues with different styles 1903 is truly unique. You can choose between a unique industrial flair or a modern feel, there are even a casual space and a unique tent for a more outdoor impression. Included in the cost are tables, chairs, and free admission vouchers for all your guests to the Harley Davidson Museum. A wedding with 200 guests can cost you around $3,000.

Even though not mentioned in the list, there are also hotels, barns, and gardens that you can choose from to host your wedding. Regardless of your budget, with a little research, you can find a venue to suit you.  Vendors in Milwaukee know just how to work with various budgets to give you the wedding of your dreams.
