Meet the team

Hi, I’m Sydney! I’m a New Yorker, now Florida transplant since 2014. A lover of the outdoors and sun worshiper, I LOVE my Florida life.

As a hopeless romantic, I have always had an affinity for weddings and romantic events. Ask me about the time I went to the fish market in my grandmother’s classic 1950’s ball gown wedding dress (side note: I was 7).

Over the course of my career, I’ve planned everything from Auctions, to Carnivals, Weddings, Proposals, Kids Parties… and more. I started Popped Event Planning in 2018 with the mission to help couples create uniquely nontraditional celebrations.

WHY DO I NEED AN EVENT PLANNER?

Between keeping track of vendors, budget, guest lists and more, your special day can become a very stressful day. An event planner can keep all the details organized so that you don't have to! You can just sit back, and enjoy the occasion.

MY VENUE HAS AN EVENT COORDINATOR. DO I NEED TO HIRE A DAY OF COORDINATOR?

Yes! Having a venue coordinator is fantastic. But in most cases they will only help coordinate items related to the venue (catering menus, delivery times, etc.). Your day-of wedding coordinator will help with ALL the details and make sure absolutely everything happens according to plan.

CAN WE HIRE YOU FOR AN EVENT OUTSIDE OF TAMPA BAY?

Yes, we can help with an event anywhere. While our main market and area of expertise is in Tampa, FL and the surrounding areas, we love to travel for weddings anywhere people are getting married! This is an especially great option for day-of coordination services. Travel charges do apply. Contact us for more info.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FULL SERVICE EVENT PLANNING AND DAY OF COORDINATION?

Full service event planning offers help with every detail of the event including vendor sourcing and selection, budget management, and even creative assistance with the aesthetics of the event. Day of coordination is for clients who prefer to do the planning themselves. Your day-of coordinator is there to oversee vendors and event flow to make sure your vision all comes together on the big day.

I'VE DONE MOST OF THE PLANNING MYSELF, BUT I NEED HELP FINDING A FEW VENDORS. WHICH PACKAGE IS THAT?

With our day-of coordination package, we are happy to recommend vendors that would be a great fit for your vendor team.
