1. Introduction: What's your story?

Hello there!

My name's Khali, the founder and owner of KMT Photos. I'm a wedding photographer based in Portland, Oregon that focuses on joyful + candid photos with bold and colorful edits. I've been photographing weddings since 2016 and pretty much everything else since as early as 2010. It's crazy how quickly the time has gone!

My favorite part about being a wedding photographer is getting to capture the joy and true love that comes from a wedding day. Through photos, I get to make sure these moments and memories last forever.

I like to call myself your "personal hype woman" on your wedding day! Bringing a positive and fun energy to every photoshoot and hyping the heck out of my couples is my secret sauce to getting the best photos and what sets me apart from others.

2. How long have you been shooting weddings? How many weddings have you photographed?

I've been shooting weddings since 2016! Although I don't have a total # off the top of my head, I've photographed over 100, averaging around 20-30 a year.

3. How would you describe your photography style?

My photography style is bold and colorful edits. I feel like they are warm and romantic without being too oversaturated and taking away from the subject in the pictures! My shooting style is candid, joyful photos so I give my couples lots of fun prompts to help bring out their real smiles and laughter!

4. How well in advance should couples book their wedding photographer?

Before 2020, I had couples book me 1-1.5 years in advance! Now, a lot of things have changed and I tend to book my couples more like 6 months-1 year out. Most couples book their wedding photographer after they've set a date and a wedding venue/location.

5. What are the different packages that you offer and which one is your most popular package?

I offer micro wedding packages for weddings with ten guests or less, and more traditional wedding packages with coverage up to 10 hours! My most popular wedding package is for 8 hours and includes a complimentary engagement session, help building your photography timeline and a few other goodies! My more expensive packages include second shooters and a custom USB box with prints. Couples can add more hours to their package for an additional $300 (prices subject to change).

6. Are you the wedding photographer who will be shooting on the wedding day? Who else is there in your team?

Yes! Unless otherwise specified I'm the wedding photographer who shows up shooting the wedding!
I also offer "associate photography" packages where a team member who has been personally trained by me can show up and photograph your wedding if I am unavailable or a couple is on a tighter budget. These packages are less expensive, but still include the KMT Photos experience - including all the emails, timeline help, zoom calls, etc!

7. Do you charge a travel fee? For what distance? What does that cover?

My packages are all inclusive!
For destination weddings, I will create a custom quote for my couples that includes the travel and any other add-ons the couple may want (rehearsal dinner coverage, day-after shoots, etc). These are popular for destination weddings!

8. Are albums or prints included in your packages?

They are not, but you can order prints directly through your digital gallery or I include recommendations to my favorite high quality print shops!

9. How long after the wedding will the couple receive the images? How will they be delivered?

My turnaround time for wedding galleries is 10-12 weeks. Every couple gets a preview gallery to hold them over though, and that gets delivered within 1 week of their wedding.

10. What is your cancellation and/or refund policy?

If Client desires to cancel Services, reschedule Services, or if it becomes impossible for Vendor to render Services due to the fault of the Client or parties related to Client, such as failure of the
Wedding to occur or failure of one or more essential parties to the Wedding to show up in a timely manner, Client shall provide notice to Vendor as soon as possible. Vendor retains the sum of the first initial retainer (33%) without exception. Any and all additional payments made to KMT Photos beyond the first retainer (33%) will be non-refundable after 7 days of payment being made. If the wedding needs to be rescheduled, the new date must be within twelve months of original scheduled date or retainer becomes cancellation fee. A rescheduling fee of $300 will be applied to any rescheduled weddings. A new retainer will be required to book a date outside of twelve months of the original date. This applies to weddings changing venues.

Postponement Policy. If event is postponed, all services will cease at time of notification of postponement if no determined new date is provided. Payment schedule will be determined and readjusted post new event date notification. If client requires services to resume, post new event date being established, second payment will be required at time of service re-start.
