1. Introduction: What's your story?

Hey there, I'm Tom Lebsack, the face behind MOT Photography, your friendly neighborhood wedding whisperer with a camera. 2. How long have you been shooting weddings? How many weddings have you photographed?

Photography is a family affair that's been developing over generations. Both my parents were pros behind the lens before I even knew what a shutter button was. And lucky for me, the photography bug didn't skip a generation.

My professional instruction started in college where I received my Bachelor of Science in the digital arts w/ a focus on photography. But even before college I was developing my own film in a dark room. This is back in the day that I had to pay for film! I learned the importance of composing a shot and making it count because back then a photographer couldn't just "spray and pray."

I've been around the block a time or two having the pleasure of photographing over 50 weddings and wrangling more family photo sessions than I can count (literally hundreds).

I consider myself lucky to have ventured far and wide, from coast to coast and even as far as the bustling streets of Hong Kong, capturing love in all its global glory. So, rest assured, whether you're saying "I do" in your backyard or halfway across the world, I've got the skills, the charm, and the passport stamps to prove it. Let's make some magic happen, shall we?

When it comes to managing the bustling chaos of a wedding day, let's just say I'm like a conductor leading a symphony of love and laughter. Professional? Absolutely. Detail-oriented? You betcha. But above all, I bring the fun—because let's face it, what's a wedding without a few good laughs and maybe a rogue dance move or two? 3. How would you describe your photography style?

I paint with color and sculpt with depth of field to capture the very essence of emotion. Unlike those who follow fleeting trends like they're going out of style (pun intended), I prefer a timeless approach that's as enduring as your love story.

4. How well in advance should couples book their wedding photographer?

When it comes to booking your wedding photographer, timing is key. I recommend securing your photographer anywhere from 6 to 18 months in advance to ensure you snag your preferred choice and avoid any last-minute stress. As for peak booking months, June through October tends to be the busiest period, so if you're eyeing a wedding date within this timeframe, it's best to act fast.

As for my availability, I've been fortunate to have dates booked well over a year from now, but I still have some openings in the coming months. However, it's important to note that Saturdays tend to be in high demand and often get booked the fastest. So, while I do have some availability left, I recommend reaching out sooner rather than later to secure your preferred date. Your wedding day is special, and I want to ensure I can be there to capture every precious moment for you.

One important note: securing your wedding venue is priority #1. That should be the very first vendor you sign a contract with. Once you have the venue, your date is set in stone - it's at this point that hiring your photographer is a great next step.

5. What are the different packages that you offer and which one is your most popular package?

I offer a range of packages to suit every couple's needs and budget, ensuring that your special day is beautifully documented without breaking the bank.

My most popular package, The Platinum Collection, includes seven hours of coverage, which can usually cover the excitement of getting ready to the last dance of the evening. This comprehensive package also includes a pre-wedding consultation, four phone and/or video meetings leading up to your wedding, the ability to photograph in a few locations (getting ready away from the wedding venue?), approximately 400-600 high-resolution digital images, one 16-x20 print (framed / canvas / metal) and a beautifully crafted online gallery for easy sharing with friends and family.

For those seeking a little extra flair (and a myriad of extra memories, My Unlimited Collection offers on-site photography all day and night. This is a terrific package for anyone wanting to capture the wonder of their entire wedding day. This package includes unlimited location changes, approximately 600-1200 photographs, a second round of advanced image editing, unlimited phone / video meetings, three 16-x20 prints, and a gorgeous online gallery.

As a special treat, I offer an engagement session as my gift to you if you book either of these packages. This is a wonderful way for us to get to know one another before your amazing wedding.

When it comes to extras, the world is your oyster. From Wedding Story Books ($1000-1500), Day After Sessions ($500-1500), Extra Coverage ($300/hour), and even second shooters ($250-$750/ea), I have all the bases covered. There are endless ways we can customize your perfect wedding photography package for your happily ever after.

6. Are you the wedding photographer who will be shooting on the wedding day? Who else is there in your team?

On the big day, you'll find me armed with 2-4 top-of-the-line Canon cameras and a variety of high-quality lenses, ensuring that no moment goes unnoticed. From the subtle glances to the grand gestures, I'll be there to freeze time and immortalize your love story in stunning detail.

For larger weddings or those with intricate timelines, I'm more than happy to bring along a second or even a third shooter, as well as a videographer, to ensure every angle is covered. 7. Do you charge a travel fee? For what distance? What does that cover?

Ready to take your love story on the road? I'm all about spreading the magic far and wide. With experience covering weddings across the country and around the globe, my passport is well-worn and my bags are always packed for the next adventure.

When it comes to travel, I've got you covered. While my travel rates vary depending on the distance, they typically include flights or fuel costs, lodging, and meals. However, for weddings in the beautiful Pacific Northwest region, including Oregon, Washington, and beyond, travel costs are often already factored into my wedding package prices.

So whether you're tying the knot in your hometown or saying "I do" halfway around the world, rest assured, I'll be there to capture every moment of your epic journey. Let's make memories that span continents and last a lifetime.

8. Are albums or prints included in your packages?

Your wedding memories aren't just captured—they're crafted into digital albums that serve as timeless treasures of your special day. Included with every wedding package, these digital albums are more than just a collection of photos—they're an interactive experience that allows you to relive every moment with ease.

Accessible online for at least 6 months after delivery, these albums are your ticket to sharing the joy of your wedding day directly to social media, downloading your favorite photos (or all of them), and even printing on a variety of mediums and sizes. But why stop there?

For those seeking a truly tactile experience, I also offer hand-crafted printed storybook albums for an additional fee. These tangible keepsakes are more than just photo albums—they're heirlooms that tell the story of your love in a way that digital images simply can't. From the weight of the pages to the luster of the prints, there's something undeniably magical about holding your memories in your hands. So go ahead, add a printed album to your package—you'll thank yourself for it later.

9. How long after the wedding will the couple receive the images? How will they be delivered?

I understand that you're eager to relive the magic of your wedding day through your photos, and I'm committed to delivering those memories to you in a timely manner. Typically, I'll do my best to deliver your finalized wedding photography approximately six weeks after your wedding. However, it might take a bit longer during peak wedding season, such as the bustling months of June through October. Rest assured, the wait will be worth it when you see the stunning memories we've captured together.

All of my wedding packages include high resolution digital images along with a print release form. The digital images will be delivered via an online gallery and available for download. I host the photographs online for at least 6 months, but may be removed after that so you’ll want to ensure they are downloaded before the time expires.

The online gallery will include two options for downloading:
- High resolution which are perfect for large format printing (ie. big canvases, metal, etc.) Consider these your master files… the most important files to safe-keep.
- Web Size which are reformatted to share on your social media. These files take up much less space, look good on a screen, but are not to be used for printing since.

All of the images taken during your wedding will be professionally edited so they’re ready to print / share. Because every wedding is different, I don’t guarantee a minimum number images. Most galleries include somewhere around 500-1000 images, including some images being edited in black and white as well.

10. What is your cancellation and/or refund policy?

I understand that unexpected circumstances can arise, and I strive to be as flexible and accommodating as possible. However, it's important to note that in the event of cancellation, no money will be refunded. This policy is in place due to the extensive planning and commitment involved in reserving your wedding date, as well as the potential loss of income from turning away other clients for that date.

While refunds are not provided, I do offer the option to reschedule your wedding photography coverage in certain circumstances, such as natural disasters like wildfires, which may pose a safety risk or prevent the event from taking place as planned. Your safety and peace of mind are my top priorities, and I'm here to work with you to find a solution that best accommodates your needs.
