10 Questions with Tracy McClain

1. Introduction: What's your story?

Hi my name is Tracy McClain, Owner and Officiant at TW Wedding Officiant LLC. My love for weddings begin when I was a school age girl looking at bridal pictures in magazines, already choosing dresses I would want to wear when I get married. Shortly after my 2nd marriage I finally put a plan to action to join the wedding industry in 2018! I'am a hopeless romantic so when a couple chooses to marry it opens my heart.

2. What's your experience as a wedding officiant? How many weddings have your officiated?

My 2 years of experience as a Wedding Officiant has been exciting, rewarding, at times challenging, but overall good learning experiences that help me perfect my craft. As of 2021 I have now officiated 19 weddings, two of which were Vow Renewals!

3. How far in advance do couples need to secure your services?

Couples can secure my services up to one week prior to their wedding day or bridal party rehearsal date.

4. How would you describe your officiant style?

My officiant style is professional. My style of conducting a ceremony is first consulting with the couple to ask their wants, religious nature and theme if any. After gaining clarity of the ceremony script and bridal party attendies, I explain the order of events that will take place during the ceremony in hopes it ease the couples worry in knowing what to expect next.

5. What are your fees for officiating a wedding?

Since the Covid pandemic my standard fees are discounted as follows; Wedding Ceremonies $300-$400 (price depends on venue & distance). Fees for Vow Renewals and Elopements are $300. Bridal Party Rehearsals and Marriage Licence Signing Only are $200.

6. What do you wear when you officiate a wedding?

When officiating ceremonies I wear professional, formal black dresses sometimes including specks of white with silver/black or gold jewelry.

7. How many pre-wedding sessions will the couple need to have with you?

The couple would need to have only one pre-wedding consult to discuss the ceremony and ceremony script. However, the couple is welcome to have unlimited email and phone consults regarding the ceremony within business hours.

8. Will you be able to create a personalized ceremony?

Yes, I do create personalized ceremonies that are different for each couple. I ask each couple would they like to incorporate any rituals and if so I create content depending on the ritual they choose.

9. Are you available to travel if needed?

I'am open to travel up to a few hours by car if needed.

10. What is your cancellation and/or refund policy?

Cancelations should be done in writing as early as possible but before the day of the ceremony. Ceremony fees are non-redundable and still expected once the Officiant arrives to the venue. Deposits and Bridal Party Rehearsal fees are non-refundable.
