1. Introduction: What's your story?

Hello I'm Shajara Rodriguez, founder and makeup artist/hairstylist at Vogabeauty. My beauty career started over 10 years ago as a fragrance consultant when I moved from New York to North Carolina for college. After ladies would ask me to help them with makeup tips, I fell in love with the way women would look in the mirror and smile at their transformation. From there, I embarked on a career in the Beauty Industry.

Through working for companies such as Lacomê, Clinique, Makeup Forever and Sephora, Shajara gained a knack for classic, clean line technique and a familiarity with products that has helped cement my status as a makeup artist. My ability to create a flawless face, specialized in subtle transformations, helping women draw out the best version of their natural complexion and features.

My work has been featured in South Park Magazine and the Face magazines here based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Featured in Bustled and Zola to name a few. As she continues to invite herself she is doing the same for her team of makeup artist and hairstylist that was created in 2017 to create an experience for Vogabeauty clients.
