1. Introduction: What's your story?

The Beauty Consultant is owned and led by Anne Jove, a highly experienced makeup artist who honed her skills, working for major luxury makeup brands. Anne's friendly demeanor and precise makeup application techniques won her a loyal clientele during her time at the CHANEL beauty counter, with many of her clients requesting her services as their wedding or event makeup artist. Inspired by the demand for her talents, Anne established The Beauty Consultant, a wedding makeup business committed to helping you radiate on your special day.

2. What's your experience as a bridal hair & makeup artist? How many brides are in there in your portfolio?

Anne has been working as a professional makeup artist for ten years, and has been the makeup artist for countless special events and weddings.

3. What are the different packages that you offer and which one is your most popular package?

The Beauty Consultant offers three bridal packages: the Bronze package consists of 1. Traditional Makeup (Wedding Day) + Makeup Trial. The Silver package: Hair (choice of hairstyle) + Traditional Makeup + Trial. The Gold package: Hair (choice of hairstyle) + Airbrush Makeup + Trial. If the bride books one of these packages, then they will receive a discounted rate for wedding party hair and makeup. The most popular package is the Silver and Gold package! Upgrades available: airbrush upgrade, false lashes, 2 hour touch ups.

4. Do you have a team of assistants or will you be the only artist that day? What will happen if you're sick or have an emergency on the wedding day?

The Beauty Consultant is led by head makeup artist, Anne, along with her team of professional hair and makeup stylists.

5. Do you charge a travel fee? For what distance? What does that cover?

Travel fees are included in rates up to 30 miles of Charlotte City Center (Zip Code 28202). Travel is priced round trip. *Stylists do not ride together. $30/hour per stylist. ** Note on Bridal Trials- We do not travel outside this radius for bridal trials unless previously discussed with The Beauty Consultant’s admin. Brides may host the trial at a closer location, ie, hotel, family or friend’s home.

Hotel accommodations- required the night before the wedding day if the start time is 7 am or earlier and if the travel time is an hour or more with a start time of 8 am or earlier.

Parking Fees (If venue or hotel requires paid parking for vendors/guests)- Will be included for each stylist

Relocation Fee (if stylists travel to one location (home or hotel) and unpack/pack then travel to an additional location (venue)

Early Morning Fees $30/per stylist (Start time before 8 am)

6. Can the bride book a wedding makeup trial appointment and will you also do a trial before the wedding?

It is highly recommended that the bride book a makeup and hair trial before her wedding date. Our top hair and makeup stylists will be matched with the client, depending on her wants/needs.

7. What beauty products do you use and would you be open to the bride using her own make-up?

The Beauty Consultant uses luxury brands, as well as airbrush makeup (Temptu Airbrush System). If the bride insists on using some of her own makeup, that can be discussed as the makeup can be applied in a safe and hygienic manner.

8. How can you make the bride's wedding makeup last and look good in photos?

The Beauty Consultant applies lasting makeup that looks flawless in photos and videos!

9. How long will makeup take on the day and how long will you be staying for on the day?

On the wedding day, bridal makeup takes approx. 1 hour, while wedding party member's makeup takes about 45 minutes to apply (including false lash application). Bridal hair takes about 1 hour, and wedding party member hair takes about 45 minutes.

10. What is your cancellation and/or refund policy?

We require a deposit ($150 per stylist) and a signed contract upon booking. Remaining payment is due 1 month before the wedding date. We take credit cards (add 3% fee onto total invoice amount), Zelle, Venmo and check. Wedding Cancellations must be made 60 days prior to the reserved date or signed party will be responsible for the full amount of services agreed upon in the given contract. If you choose to reduce booked numbers within this time you will still be required to pay for all cancelled services (other family/guests etc may fill the vacancies). Wedding deposits are non-refundable or non- transferable.
