1. Introduction: What's your story?

Hello I'm Trene' Forbes founder and chief photographer at Trene' Forbes Photography. Photography became a hobby for me since childhood. It was ten years ago when I turned my hobby into a business. My passion for photography was passed down from my godfather whom I
admired and watched develop film. I started my first photography course in 2010 and as I evolved throughout the years and have experienced so many different couples and families it has brought to where I am today. Photography is ever changing, therefore I continue educating and teaching photography because I want my clients to have the best photographic experience. People always ask why wedding photography? I decided to become a wedding photographer because I love capturing authentic moments. I love to see couples in LOVE it makes me so happy. I literally cry at every wedding.

2. How long have you been shooting weddings? How many weddings have you photographed?

I have been photographing weddings for about 10 years now. I normally photograph about 30-35 weddings each year. We all know that 2020 was a whirlwind within the wedding industry, however you can't cancel LOVE, therefore some of my couples opted for a Micro wedding, which included 10 guest or less. Many couples postponed to the following year. Remaining positive and hopeful in this season is super important.

3. How would you describe your photography style?

My photography style is classic and timeless. I love beautiful vibrant colors. I want you to be able to see your wedding photos on your mantle and passed down through generations. My goal is to make you feel so comfortable you will feel like you stepped out of a magazine. Choosing a photographer that you can connect with is super important.

4. How well in advance should couples book their wedding photographer?

There are two most important things to book when planning your wedding this includes your venue and the photographer. I suggest booking your wedding photographer at least 6 months out to 1 year, which is really important. Photographers that are in high demand normally book quicker. My busiest months start between March through November. My weekends tend to get booked really fast. I have some couples that have booked either on a Thursday or Friday which venues tend to give a rate that less expensive. You can never plan too early. I have a couple of 2022 brides already locked in.

5. What are the different packages that you offer and which one is your most popular package?

Wedding collections in my area start at $3500 and up. I offer several collections to fit the needs of my clients. All packages come with a complimentary engagement session which is super important Engagement sessions allows us to get to know each other before your wedding and to get comfortable in front of my camera. My most popular collection is Photography/Videography. Videography wasn't as important years ago as it is today. Adding on videography has been really popular with my couples. My day starts with bride and groom prep, ceremony and reception which typically is about 8-10 hours on your wedding day. I also offer signature wedding albums with my collections including 8X8 or a 10X10. If you me to stay longer for any reason there is an additional fee that will be invoiced.

6. Are you the wedding photographer who will be shooting on the wedding day? Who else is there in your team?

All weddings are captured by me as your lead photographer. My second photographer is there to assist me throughout the entire day as well. We all have at least two camera bodies with tons of lenses to capture every moment of the day.

7. Do you charge a travel fee? For what distance? What does that cover?

I absolutely love love destination weddings. My experience in the wedding industry has allowed me to capture couples as far as Africa. Typically there is a travel fee if I travel more than 1.1 hours outside the Maryland, DC area. Most destination weddings the client is responsible for my accommodation and flight. I normally bring an assistant to capture video and that expense is handled by the couple as well.

I offer signature albums in most of my wedding collections. I offer two sizes including a 8x8 or a 10X10 up to 50 images. Parent albums are Ala Carte for purchase.
