10 Questions with Jeremy Lane

1. Introduction: What's your story?

My name is Jeremy Lane, and I am the founder of North Texas Wedding Officiants. We are a small team of ordained ministers who cover weddings in the North Texas area as well as destination weddings all over the United States.

My wife and I are passionate about marriage ministry and mentoring young couples, and so having the opportunity to speak life, love, and truth over a marriage from the beginning is a true blessing.

2. What's your experience as a wedding officiant? How many weddings have your officiated?

I have been ordained for nearly twenty years and have performed countless weddings across that time span.

3. How far in advance do couples need to secure your services?

I generally advise couples to begin having discussions with officiants at least 6 to 8 months ahead of the ceremony date.

4. How would you describe your officiant style?

North Texas Wedding Officiants exists to do much more than simply officiate your wedding. Our mission is to speak words of life and truth over every couple we have the honor to encounter and to bless your marriage from its very beginning. We desire to be the most preferred team of wedding officiants in North Texas and beyond.

5. What are your fees for officiating a wedding?

Our rates can vary based on location and other specifics, but a couple can assume a rate somewhere between $325 and $375 for a ceremony in the general DFW area.

6. What do you wear when you officiate a wedding?

Our officiants will always be in a suit of appropriate color, with or without a tie depending upon the level of formality of the wedding and the preference of the couple.

7. How many pre-wedding sessions will the couple need to have with you?

Generally two pre-wedding sessions will suffice. The initial meeting allows our officiants to understand the couple's vision for the ceremony, share his or her own personal approach to weddings, and to capture all relevant notes. Additional meetings can take place as needed, and a final meeting within two weeks of the wedding will allow the officiant to finalize all details and take final notes.

8. Will you be able to create a personalized ceremony?

Yes, as mentioned previously the meetings between the couple and the officiant are valuable in ensuring that the ceremony is personalized and fitting for the couple's relationship. Our officiants will also share current trends and options with the couple in order to find the most appropriate ways to honor the couple, their relationships, and their families.

9. Are you available to travel if needed?

Yes, we love destination weddings and travel widely for weddings as opportunities arise. Logistical details for destination weddings can be worked through during the initial meeting.

10. What is your cancellation and/or refund policy?

We treat these instances on a case-by-case basis, as cancellations are, in our experience, a rare occurrence. If a couple who has booked with one of our officiants has a change of plans those details can be discussed as needed.
