A Note from Ely…

Hi, I’m Ely and I have literally spent hours writing and rewriting this introduction page. I am a visual person, so words aren’t really my thing, so if you find typos please excuse them. I am a fine art wedding and portrait photographer, and along with that it seems that I should have a fancy and ethereal description of my style that includes all the fine art keywords like “organic,” “authentic,” “timeless” but at that end of the day I can’t really nail down exactly how to say it other than I strive for each of my photos to be a work of art and something that you and your family will treasure as a documentation of your life.

My style leans towards fine art editorial, my visually favorite images typically have a soft and airy feel. But the photos I LOVE are the ones that capture true emotion. The ones that can’t be brought out by a simple “smile at the camera!” The moments that capture quirks of your loved ones that tell a story that only you can fully understand. The ones that make you feel something. I often get asked what I like to photograph the most, and people expect me to say weddings or newborns, but the answer is always joy. That is what I enjoy capturing the most.

So, am I the photographer for you? If you are someone who is kind, loves the people around you, and are looking for someone to capture real moments in a timeless and classic way, my guess is that we would be a good fit.

OH. And just in case you are wondering, Ely is pronounced like “Eliie.”
