The Best in the PNW
Words cannot express my gratitude for Cherish with DWevents. My wedding was something out of a magazine! It was the PERFECT wedding and it is all beca...use of her. I came to her with a simple idea and she worked her magic and brought it to life. If you think you don't need a wedding planner, think again and if you think you can go with just any one THINK AGAIN!
Cherish is a top-notch planner and I am incredibly lucky to have had her help. She always made us feel as though she had everything 100% under control. Trust me, you want this in a planner!! Cherish is a 10/10 detailed planner! Loved our experience
Thank you so much for your coordination and help over the last few weeks and on our day! We recognize our planning process was a fast pivot (60 days!)... and we have really enjoyed working with you especially because you jumped right in to our crazy ideas and were relentless on finding us options for all requests. Then, day of was a hectic and hot one and we recognize how much effort you put in to bring our vision to life. Thank you! We thought each space looked absolutely stunning and I know you were extremely busy to make that happen. I also didn’t have to stress about anything and I was able to enjoy the entire day. As a professional events photographer, I’ve pretty much seen it all. Some go smoother than others and then there are some you wonder what went wrong - 9 out of 10 the events that WOW, make a lasting impression (and leave your guests talking for days) are the ones who have “Dream Weddings & Events” on their team. I’ve seen first hand what they can do and every time I’m blown away.

The absolute best!
Cherish and her team are amazing! We planned our wedding on a very short timeline due to Covid and a venue change, but Cherish helped us secure all of... our vendors and coordinate the many moving pieces. She was incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, and helpful. Cherish had an answer and a fix for everything; I am so grateful to her for the logistical and emotional support. Cherish and her team were absolutely flawless, and our wedding ran super smoothly because of her leadership and coordination. My family and friends all noticed her care and attention to detail throughout the rehearsal and the wedding; they loved her as well! Best Decision!
Both my partner and I have demanding schedules so a planner was essential. Cherish and her team worked so hard to get all of our vendors from our orig...inal wedding date transferred over to our new date. Dream Weddings and Events also provided us with their preferred vendor list for any aspect we were missing. Guests are still telling us about all the fun they had and how gorgeous it all looked. One of the Best Investments!
I couldn't have better things to say about working with Cherish and her team. Throughout the planning process, Cherish was attentive, organized and re...sourceful.
Cherish helped to alleviate any additional stress leading up to the wedding by providing helpful tips and resources that kept me and my husband on track for our big day. She took the reigns on our rehearsal day and made sure all our attendants (and little ones!) knew exactly what they were doing and made it fun and enjoyable throughout.
On our wedding day, I knew I had absolutely nothing to stress about because Cherish and her team were on it. Every little detail, every step of the way. I couldn't have asked for a better planner and am so grateful that we picked Cherish to help us throughout our wedding planning.

Proceed with Caution. This team underdelivered BIG TIME
It’s with deep regret that we have to write this review. Unfortunately, Dream Weddings & Events have left us no choice.
We cannot stress how... badly Cherish (the owner) and her team dropped the ball for our special day. There’s too much to list off in a single message, so we’ll try to summarize some key things.
Over $1,000 in purchases made for our wedding went unused. This includes nearly our entire dessert bar being forgotten about, and our cake stand + cake cutter being left in boxes. We literally had to cut our cake with a butterknife. Countless signs and decorations went unused, and guests were often left confused or scrambling due to lack of direction from the staff.
We had emailed Cherish and her team as soon as we came back from our honeymoon to discuss a potential solution. Cherish left all comms to her assistant. Zero accountability was taken. Numerous lies were told to deflect blame. And, after simply asking for a civil resolution to make up for what transpired, we were told to talk to their lawyer. All we asked for was a partial refund for the mistakes and negligence the staff showed on our wedding day.
If you decide to work with this team, proceed with caution. The level of professionalism and service we were promised went completely out the window the day of the wedding. If you want more information on what transpired, we’re more than happy to talk to you directly. We don’t want anyone to experience what we went through.

Dream Weddings and Events strives to organize, plan, and design all events to the best of our ability. When missteps happen, we take great care to rem...edy the situation swiftly and peacefully. Our teams are held to the highest standard and we stand behind the work they put out.
Regarding (You) the client’s event on July 10th our team worked tirelessly to provide you with a streamlined event despite the challenges we faced. Because of the challenges outlined below we stood behind our decision not to discount any of our services.
1. Your wedding that was booked as a day of coordination package and not a planning package did not include any labor for rental set up, management of vendors, or bussing of dining tables. Yet, Dream Weddings and Events provided you with these services without any additional labor charges as a courtesy.
2. Two days prior to (You) the client’s wedding, we provided two staff members to set up over 200 chairs for your reception. When (You) the client wanted to add your own DIY lights to your tent versus having the rental company install and provide lighting, we waited 2 hours for your volunteers to come string lights inside the tent. When (You) the client’s volunteers arrived, they demanded we teach them how to setup these lights. Something completely out of the scope of work that we do and work that (You) the client did not pay for. Ultimately, we assisted the best we could and completed the job to ensure that (You) the client was happy with your overall setup.
3. During your wedding rehearsal, members of (You) the client’s bridal party consistently interrupted our lead planner and designer, making inappropriate comments about our team including racially insensitive comments regarding people of color turning a 30-minute exercise into a 2+ hour rehearsal. We continued through the rehearsal, we were extremely professional given the uncomfortable environment that your bridal party created and did not charge (You) the client any overtime for this. We made (You) the client aware of these disparaging comments at the end of the rehearsal and expressed that we would have to terminate our services if this behavior continued. We left with the understanding standing that (You) the client fully understood and accepted our stance on the matter.
4. During the set up for (You) the client’s wedding, your vendors who were also your family members arrived late and immediately started drinking prior to the ceremony starting. They disrupted the sound check for the DJ by pushing buttons and moving their equipment despite the DJ asking them numerous times to stop. The DJ for your event was extremely uncomfortable due to these same family members making aggressive comments towards them using profanity and inappropriate touching to the point that your DJ expressed to us that they would quit during the reception.
5. Throughout the day (You) the client’s family members verbally berated our staff using curse words, sexist language, and racial slurs. This is not tolerated and under most circumstances we would have immediately terminated our relationship with the client, but we stayed on to help keep the wedding on schedule since we truly valued the relationship, we had established with (You) the client prior to the rehearsal.
6. In the matter regarding décor. Our team was locked out of areas outside of the designated space for décor which was in the lower level of the residence connected to the venue space. Any missing décor items that were not in the space (You) the client specifically designated for décor did not fall on the staff of Dream Weddings & Events. We were never directed to grab any décor items from any other location than this specific area.
7. The caterer, who was a member of (You) the client’s family and who was visibly intoxicated, yelled, berated, and insulted our lead planner in the middle of dinner and throughout the evening expressing that her team would not remove glassware from any tables even though they agreed to do so prior to the wedding. It was explained to you that this is not in our scope of work to clear tables, but instead we bussed over 600 pieces of glassware and returned them to an organized area for the rental team to pick up. We did not charge (You) the client any overtime for this.
8. At the end of the evening, (You) the clients gave the lead planner big hugs and words of gratitude. Personal items of value were taken by a trusted family member who had keys to the main house attached to the venue, and our team was thanked by the same family member for the attention to detail placed on this task. The venue owner, who is also your family member, walked the entire reception site and approved our team's work and thanked them for our work.
9. Days after the reception (You) the client had a member of the bridal party, who at no point, were involved in the planning process write an email demanding a full refund (not partial) along with slanderous accusations that we only completed 15% of the job. Then other members of (You) the client’s family and friends began a smear campaign on social media including harassment in our company’s direct messaging portals. Due to the aggressive, sexist, and racially charged language used in person and online toward Dream Weddings and Events' team we were not comfortable speaking with (You) the client or their family members without a witness present to ensure our overall safety. We provided and encouraged your family members to use legal mediation from an unbiased 3rd party law firm to resolve this peacefully. (You) the client’s family continued then continued to send multiple aggressive emails to our team.
We would have loved to have had the opportunity to peacefully resolve any concerns or questions that (You) the client would have had prior to (You) the client enlisting family members to harass, verbally abuse, use forms of intimidation, and slander our business publicly. Unfortunately, we were never given that courtesy.

BEST WEDDING PLANNER IN PDX!
If I had to choose one word to describe Cherish & her team it would be AMAZING!! My husband and I were so blessed to have her for our wedding Plan...ner. We were busy working and trying to squeeze in wedding planning when I reached out to Dream Weddings & Events. From the moment I spoke to Cherish I knew she was an experienced professional and she did not disappoint. During the entire planning process, she was timely in her responses and understanding when we had tons of questions or concerns. To help with the planning process, she crafted a detailed wedding timeline that was essential with coordinating the logistics. As our wedding day approached, she gently pushed us without being overbearing to finalize details. She suggested wonderful vendors as well as walked us through the entire process for each individual one. Further, our rehearsal was seamless and professional resulting in a beautiful wedding that was stress free. We received so many compliments on everything. Working with Cherish and her team was an absolute pleasure, and she has our highest recommendation!
