Ana Carmen Paz, 69 is a native of San Juan,Puerto Rico and her husband, Charles Paz, 75 is a former private pilot who fabricates complex model airplanes is from Marianao, Cuba. They met while in Puerto Rico where Ana had Camille, Cecilia and Sarah. Camille, the eldest, now 49 is her Accounts Manager, Cecilia, 46 also an Art Professor and Fitness Competitor manages all Social Media and Marketing Strategies, while her youngest, Sarah, 41 former Wedding consultant for ten years runs the off-shoot company, The Office Cake for novelty day-of, all-occasion cakes.

Even grand daughter Caroline, 25 is involved in the business as Office Manager. Ana has taken her own Grandmother’s recipe handed down to Ana’s mother, Sara Matta De Juan. The original recipe made by her mother on the island called for a cake without syrup and when Ana arrived in Miami in 1978, her client base was primarily of Cuban descent and she decided to diversify her product by moistening it with Ana’s secret syrup consisting of Rum and Coconut!
