1. Introduction: What's your story?

Hello I'm Monina Wright, creator of Moderne Beauty Studios & LG Waxing & Esthetics. Up until college I suffered from severe acne which lead to a very low self esteem. Makeup was the one thing that helped me overcome my low self esteem because I could temporarily cover up my acne scars and breakouts. Then I met an esthetician in college and she helped me realize the importance and connection between gut health & skin health.

After college I took my knowledge and skills for makeup and skincare and created my bridal beauty business. Now I offer permanent skin solutions for my brides and provide flawlessly bridal makeup and hair designs on their most important day.

Shortly after graduating with a B.S. degree from UCSD, I realized my calling was in the beauty industry. After I got married in 1996, and with the encouragement of my husband, I opened my doors and started offering on location makeup and hair services to brides throughout the Bay Area.

I have had the privilege of offering makeup and hair to 100's of brides for over 25 years. Being part of a bride's wedding day is something I never take for granted, which is why I only work and mentor makeup artists who have the same passion and professionalism I expect from myself.
