1. Introduction: What's your story?
Hi I'm Jenna Garagiola, the founder and lead makeup & hair artist at Jenna Marie Beauty. I have been in love with all things makeup and hair since I was a little girl, from playing in my mom's makeup bag at age 6 to helping my high school friends get glam for prom. When I was in high school, my Aunt got married and I did the hair and makeup for her entire bridal party (it was me and my cousins!)...and that's truly where my lifelong passion for helping women to feel their most beautiful began! In college, I became obsessed with all things Hollywood and eventually I landed in Los Angeles.
I've been working professionally as a makeup & hair artist for over 21 years, with a focus in editorial and advertising print, tv commercials, promos, music videos, and of course my personal favorite...Red Carpet. Throughout it all, I would do bridal makeup and hair, taking weddings only on referral and for family & friends. In 2019, I realized just how much love and joy weddings brought into my life and I decided why not go all in? And Jenna Marie Beauty was born. Over my years working in the Hollywood biz, I have been blessed to work alongside some of the most talented makeup and hair artists out there and I am so grateful to include many of those artists in the Jenna Marie Beauty Team. Together, team JMB is a family, with a passion for beauty and love we aim to bring the star treatment to all of our brides. We like to think of that wedding aisle as YOUR very own personal Red Carpet!
2. What's your experience as a bridal hair & makeup artist? How many brides are in there in your portfolio?
Starting from that very first wedding (my Aunt's!) in the late 1990s until present moment, there have been wayyyyy too many weddings to count, but each and every bride holds a special place in my heart! As an artist with over 21 years experience, I've had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of skin tones and hair textures. Every member of my team has a minimum of 5 years professional working experience. Myself and my team are prepped for anything and anyone that comes our way, ready to make every single human that sits in our chairs look and feel their most beautiful.
3. What are the different packages that you offer and which one is your most popular package?
At Jenna Marie Beauty we recognize that every Bride is unique and every Wedding has their own specific needs. We've found it best to forego flat rate packages and create a custom quote for our clients based on date, location, and bridal part needs. Our services include mobile service, phone consultation, hair extension style and placement, wedding veil and hair accessory placement, flawless photo quality makeup application, lashes, touch up kits, tattoo cover, event day timeline, years of expertise, and lots of love and smiles! We allow plenty of time for services to guarantee your day runs on time and smoothly. We are available to stay for touchups at an additional cost.

4. Do you have a team of assistants or will you be the only artist that day? What will happen if you're sick or have an emergency on the wedding day?
We like to keep things running smoothly and minimize stress, which is why we provide a team of artists based on the size of your bridal party. I'm not the artist who likes to jam pack an 8 hour day with 20 minute services (shout out to the amazing artists who thrive in that kind of day!), I personally thrive with an organized, "plenty of time" schedule and like to ensure each of our guests feel special and beautiful. We typically bring additional artists for parties of 4 or more; however if, based on time constraints, an additional artist is needed for those smaller Bridal Parties we are happy to accommodate!
Each and every one of the artists at Jenna Marie Beauty is experienced and incredibly talented, in case of an emergency (although incredibly rare) we make sure our Bride's will be taken care of with a substitute Artist who best matches her needs. We also take detailed notes and photos at our Trials so that any one of our Artists can recreate the look if needed.
5. Do you charge a travel fee? For what distance? What does that cover?
Living in Los Angeles, we are no strangers to a commute! We are ready to travel any and everywhere. Locations within the city of Los Angeles and most areas of the greater Los Angeles area include complimentary travel.
Travel costs outside of the Los Angeles area are typically assessed a travel fee dependent on location distance and travel time.
Our team loves to travel and we'd be honored to be considered for your destination wedding!! For destination weddings we require flights, accommodations, travel to & from airports, meals, and travel day rates to be covered by the client.
6. Can the bride book a wedding makeup trial appointment and will you also do a trial before the wedding?
While we do not require a makeup and/or hair trial we do highly recommend it! A Trial is the perfect time to get to know each other and to really nail down the details of your dream wedding day look. Not only does this give us time to try on looks, make adjustments, and create a detailed plan of action but it also helps to eliminate unnecessary stress on your wedding day. We suggest booking your trial on the day of your engagement photos so you can also see how your look will photograph!
7. What beauty products do you use and would you be open to the bride using her own make-up?
At Jenna Marie Beauty we use all high end and high performance beauty products that have been tried and true to deliver flawless results that last all day. From our brushes and tools, to skincare, hair care, and makeup products, every item we use has been carefully selected to create a kit stocked with nothing but the best. Every member of the Jenna Marie Beauty team adheres to the strictest guidelines and protocols for sanitation and disinfection, we keep our kits clean and safe! As such, we prefer to use only the products provided by the Artist to maintain the level of safety and cleanliness for all. If a client has specific concerns, allergies, and/or special needs we will make every effort to accommodate.
8. How can you make the bride's wedding makeup last and look good in photos?
Having worked years in Hollywood, myself and my team are well-versed in creating beautiful, flawless looks that last all day long. Starting with our signature long-wear foundation application to the final mist of setting spray, we know how to not only create your dream look but to lock it in place so it stays put, even through the happiest of tears!
9. How long will makeup take on the day and how long will you be staying for on the day?
To help keep your day running smooth and on-time, we create a schedule of appointments for you and your bridal party. We typically allow for 45-50min/service per bridal party guest and 60-70min/service for our Bride. We also add in extra time to our schedule to allow for any guest running behind and of course final touches. After everyone is makeup & hair ready, we do a final touch on every guest to ensure their look is holding up and everyone looks fresh, beautiful, and ready to go. We are also available to stay for additional touch-ups for as long as you need us, an hourly rate will be assessed.
10. What is your cancellation and/or refund policy?
We make every effort to be as accommodating to our Brides as possible! We understand things change and adjustments may need to be made. We strive maintain an open door of communication with all of our clients so that we can all be on exactly the same page regarding your event.
Our cancellation and refund policy is:
Our booking retainers are always non-refundable. If any changes occur to the contract where services are reduced, the changes have to be made not less than 60 days before the service date, otherwise the Client is responsible for the cost of total services. If the Client cancels the entire contract less than 60 days prior to the service date, the full balance is due and is non- refundable.
