ABOUT TJ
I’m a traveling wedding & elopement photographer from Kansas City. My roots are in the midwest but I’m often on the move. I strive to photograph those who are madly in love. The non-traditional. Adventurous. Simple at heart. Your story is so worth capturing and being told. I love what I do because I get to document connection and creation all over the world. Small moments, big ones, it doesn’t matter to me. I get to be there for all of it and I think that’s pretty dang cool. My mission is to make timeless, emotion-filled, storytelling images all for glory of Jesus.

INSPIRATION
My inspiration stems from the Gospel of Jesus, my beautiful wife Emily, natural light, human interaction, travel, minimalism, athletics, coffee, local makers & entrepreneurs, the desert, fog, bonfires and simple living.

WHY I DO THIS
Truly, it’s for the love of people and new relationships. I get to spend time with strangers that inevitably turn into friends. Former clients are now some of my closest friends that Emily and I travel with, double date with, live life alongside, etc. There’s moments where I see printed wedding photos inside friend’s homes that I took. Totally surreal. What could possibly be more rewarding than that?

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN AT THIS?

I shot my first wedding in 2016, so what like 5 years?! Woah, that’s wild.

WHERE ARE YOU BASED, AND DO YOU TRAVEL?

I’m based in Kansas City and are you kidding me? Of course I travel! Actually, about half of my weddings and shoots are outside of KC, so no place is out of the question. It’s actually becoming more and more normal to fly in your photographer. For a lot of my lovely clients, travel costs are just built into their photo budget.

AFTER WE EMAIL YOU, WHAT'S THE NEXT STEP IN THE BOOKING PROCESS?

Let’s hop on a quick FaceTime and make sure we’re a good fit. We’ll chat it up and I’ll answer any other questions you might still have! The booking process is real chill. Let me know that you’re ready to make it official, then I’ll send you a link to your client portal where you’ll digitally sign and make the deposit. Then, BOOM. We’re doing the dang thing!

HOW MANY IMAGES ARE INCLUDED?

As a general average, I deliver about 50-100 photos per hour. For weddings, this usually ends up around 800. For sessions, about 100. I don’t put a set number on how many you will receive, but I never leave anything out. I don’t put a cap or limit on what I will deliver, because sometimes there’s over 1000! Every wedding is different and varies from the last, and numbers are always changing. If you’d like to see some full wedding galleries, please feel free to ask! I’m happy to send over a few so you can get an idea of what I deliver.
