Wedding Officiant, Counselor, Minister

You said “yes,” and you’re getting married. Congratulations!

Now, it’s time to create a warm and personal wedding ceremony that reflects your personalities and preferences. With the right wedding officiant, it’s a fun process, and I’m here to help!

I’m a professionally trained and ordained Officiant and Counselor based in Roseburg, Oregon. I conduct spiritual, religious, non-religious, Interfaith, same-sex, Christian, and nature-based ceremonies throughout Oregon, California, and Washington. I welcome and love working with all kinds of couples. This isn’t just a job to me; it’s my passion! In fact, since 2014, I’ve had the honor of marrying more than 800 happy couples.

Whether you desire a simple ceremony or a more elaborate one with many elements, I can craft a ceremony that will bring your wedding day visions to life. We can also customize your special day with beautiful elements such as a Unity candle, sand ceremony, wishing notes, handfasting, oathing stone, flower exchange, blending of wines/whiskey, Bell and Dorje, and more.

I officiate ceremonies at the venue or location of your choosing and can be available on short notice. I also perform destination wedding ceremonies upon advance request. My fee typically includes travel, but there are exceptions for long-distance celebrations.

For more information, visit our Contact Us page to schedule your FREE no-obligation consultation to meet with us and discuss your visions for your wedding ceremony.

At times, I may not be available to assist you in person. So I’ve designed a new service called 90-Minute Officiant focused on helping your chosen family member or friend to craft and officiate a beautiful ceremony for your special day. Click here to learn more.

Additional Services include vow renewals, oyster pearl reveal parties, celebrations of life and memorials (for people and pets), baby blessings, counseling, and more. Visit our Services page for a complete listing.

The Sacred Adventure officiates wedding celebrations in person in Oregon, California, and Washington and virtually via several online platforms. Outdoor ceremonies are available year-round, rain or shine. Recommended venue and vendor partners are available on our Resources page. The Sacred Adventure is proud to be an LGBTQ-friendly business focused on inclusivity. Feel free to contact us to discuss options.

Vendor Profile - Kimberly Cope

Kimberly Cope

Hi, I’m Rev. Kimberly Cope. It was at the age of ten that my true calling and eventual vocation was revealed to me. While other kids were dreaming of becoming lawyers and astronauts, I was paying attention to the world around me and writing about it through prose and poetry.

Soon, adults and children alike were seeking me out to share their hopes, dreams, stories, and challenges. Because I endeavored to attend to those with whom I came in contact with both an interested and empathetic ear, it came very naturally for me to serve as the trusted space in which others felt seen, heard, and acknowledged. Since then, I’ve helped people from many walks of life not only to maintain their equilibrium while meeting the dizzying demands that life puts on us all; but, thrive in the midst of it.

My work is based on the philosophy that when our goals and actions are tied to uniquely personal values and beliefs with which we identify, greater levels of happiness and fulfillment are achieved. As a minister, writer, trainer, inspirational speaker and coach, my passion is to help others achieve a life so authentic, awesome, and amazing that they have to pinch themselves when they wake up in the morning!

I currently serve as an multifaith 'minister without walls' trained and ordained through One Spirit Learning Alliance.

I received my education through the Coaches Training Institute located in San Rafael, CA, and am a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF), and Spiritual Directors International (SDI). I'm certified in Communication: Human Relations through De Anza College in Cupertino, CA. My Premarital and Marital Counseling certification was earned through Prepare-Enrich (one of the world's leading scientifically-proven relationship inventory and skill-building programs). I am also a certified PRINT coach and Infinite Possibilities Trailblazer.

On a personal note: I reside in beautiful Morgan Hill, CA. I celebrate life by sharing time with my two grown sons, as well as hiking, dancing, cooking, and writing. I serve as Ambassador for the Women's Networking Alliance Chapter #130 and am a past member of the Board of Trustees for Conscious Living Center in Mountain View, CA. I serve as a spiritual counselor to those in need of compassionate care. My poetry and haiku have been published in Creative Thought Magazine and included in Sacred Heart Community Services donor collateral.

FAQs

I have a fantastic WIKI that I offer my clients to assist them with writing their personal wedding vows. It will help you create a statement that is authentic to you and your love for your partner while creating a cohesive message between the two of you; length, tone, etc.
Absolutely not. In fact, I suggest you type or write them out and bring them with you to the venue. There are beautiful Vow books available on Amazon and other craft stores for just this purpose. Additionally, I like my couples to send me their vows (either together or separately) so I can incorporate them into the ceremony script for "safekeeping" in case they get lost or forgotten.
Absolutely! I welcome you to invite a friend or family member to do a reading on your behalf. I do request that you send me the verbiage of what they're going to read just in case they get "cold feet".
I typically don't do that. Why? Because most of the people at your wedding already know that story. Let's share new information with them about your love and the two of you as a couple. I do this by having you complete a brief questionnaire that I use to customize your ceremony and make it authentic to you and your love.
I have a lovely group of colleagues that I collaborate with to help cover any unforeseen emergencies, etc. I've never missed or been late to a wedding yet, but it's nice to know they have my (our) back!
