Based in Indianapolis, Indiana, Painted by Jess has been making her clients feel beautiful since 2014 and specializes in airbrush makeup. She is experienced in working with all skin types and loves nothing more than getting her brides ready for their special days! She has lead training sessions for top brands such as Urban Decay, CHANEL Beauty, Too Faced, It Cosmetics, Lacome, Smashbox, & Tarte!

All full applications include strip lashes and a touch up kit. Trial options are also available. Jess is happy to travel around central Indiana to work her magic on your entire bridal party!

I've loved makeup ever since my first Dr.Pepper lip smackers. In doing makeup professionally since 2014, I have learned how to work with all skin types, tones and ages. There is nothing I love more than helping people feel beautiful!

I always knew I would want to combine my love of all things beauty with my entrepreneurial spirit. This led me to Ball State University where I earned a business degree in Entrepreneurial Management. I then went to the Aveda Fredric's Institute and obtained my cosmetologist license. I've done makeup professionally ever since, and it is an absolute dream come true! I have also worked and trained with high end makeup brands such as Urban Decay, CHANEL Beauty, Too Faced, It Cosmetics, Lacome, Smashbox, & Tarte!

When I'm not painting faces, I like to create hand embroidery and other crafty-type things while listening to true crime podcasts. I have been blessed with a wonderful family that includes my husband, son, and brother- not to mention our pug, boston terrier, and 3 cats. It’s a busy house but it’s also full of love <3

FAQs

Will airbrush makeup work for my skin?

YES! Normal, combo, dry, oily, acne prone, fine lines, rosacea, sensitivity, etc. - whatever your skin concern, I have a game plan for you! Airbrush makeup is water-resistant and can be counted on to last all day- regardless of your skin type.

What if I have sensitive skin?

All products used during applications are allergy tested, but please make me aware of any additional concerns you may have and if a patch test is preferred prior to application.

How long does an application take?

Full applications take around 45 minutes, depending on the desired look.

Where are you located?

I’m on the southeast side of Indy about 15 minutes from downtown. All trials and non-travel services are done in my home space. In my efforts to operate within Covid 19 guidelines, I ask that clients reschedule if they have any reason to believe they may have been around the virus or have had a fever within the past 14 days.

What about sanitation concerns?

A lot of things have changed in our world lately with the continuing pandemic. Sanitation has always been, and will always be a top priority for me and my clients during any application. The use of airbrush eliminates the need for a lot of alternative application methods like brushes and sponges. All applicators that are still required will either be disposable or sanitized in between clients. I wear a mask during the entirety of our interaction and fully sanitize my studio and kit upon completion of services.
