I’ve been exactly where you are; when me and my husband were planning our wedding we initially reached out to our photographer for coverage of a traditional wedding. During a cocktail out with them we delved into all the struggles and frustrations we were having with wedding planning, and it turns out the traditional wedding just wasn’t us! We shared our deep desire to elope and really wanted to have this wild adventure to start off our marriage.

Bless Rachel & Josh for not pushing us too hard but they told us, “it’s your freaking day, do whatever the hell you want!” So we did! We eloped and now they have a truly special place in my heart for small intimate weddings. We almost missed out on that incredible experience, I don’t want you to do the same.

FAQs

Do you photograph at venues / photograph traditional weddings?

I do! I take on a limited number of traditional weddings with guest couples up to 75. I love working with couple's who have a unique vision for their day and doing things a bit differently than the status quo.

Do you travel?

You betcha! While I am based in northern Washington, I routinely find myself traveling all over the state for beautiful elopements and weddings and do head out of state several times a year for destination weddings. Travel is built right into my packages to make things simple on your end.

Will you help us plan?

Absolutely! For my eloping couples I do assist with location recommendations, permit applications, timelines, vendor recommendations and more. For couple's who have a venue and +/- a planner, I am happy to assist with vendor reccs, timeline, and whatever else you might need.

What's the difference between an elopement with guests and a small wedding?

Elopements are typically a small affair and held in nontraditional spaces such as national parks, air B&Bs, and more. Typically I limit the number of attendees to 10 for these when parks/etc are involved. Small weddings are up to 75 guests and usually held at a more traditional space. But don't be afraid because there is a lot of grey space between these two breakdowns and many times the couple's I work with are pulling from both aspects.
