Soft, romantic photos can be candid or posed. My approach is to guide the couple into a natural pose and take many portraits with small variations to a base pose. This ensures the couple can actually relax in the moment and still receive a large variety of photos in their final gallery. A few locations, a few base poses, and many micro variations make a session fun, streamlined and give a TON of variety to choose from. I love doing an engagement session before the wedding, because it gives us an opportunity to work together so that you will feel comfortable that you are being guided into poses that make you look your best.

I capture your day with a timeless, classic look. My edit is bright and true to life and I select bright clean backgrounds so all the attention is on you. I love creamy skin tones and beautiful soft light for those magical moments.

Some of my favorite photos have a beautiful golden glow that seems to be falling just right on the couple. It isn't editing! That light and those tones are truly there in the moment. You just have to have an eye for it! The best time to get the glow is when sunlight is soft (usually this is sunset, but not always). If you see me start to get excited on the wedding day...it's because the glowy light is here and I can't wait to set up the perfect moment!

My husband, Ben started second shooting for me a few years ago. We’re pretty good at doing life together so we decided to bring that magic to photography. We love shooting together because we get to create something beautiful together and show couples that marriage gets better with every year! It's really great to have a second shooter that you know and trust working weddings with you. He knows that when I am shooting tight and close, he knows I want him shooting wide and pulled back. He takes the back of the ceremony, I take the front. Also, he is point man for getting ready shots with the guys and the awesome dancing shots during the reception!
