About Us

It all started with my own wedding. My husband and I wanted a low-key, laid back and intimate gathering of family and friends. I was in charge of the planning and I only had one month to do so! Time and budget was not my friend during this stressful phase. But my husband and I were determined to have our perfect wedding, regardless. When it came to decorations and flowers, I looked for something that would be long lasting and practical. Looking for my wedding bouquet that would match my preferences was one of the most challenging part of the wedding planning. I didn’t want flowers that I would have to throw away after a week. I wanted something that I could keep and re purpose as a decoration in our new home. After much research, I came across wood flowers. I sourced my materials, worked on my creativity and, voila! I made my perfect wood flower wedding bouquet! I got lots of compliments on my bouquet during and even after the wedding. And the best part is, my wedding bouquet is still intact, 7 months after our wedding day. It’s displayed in our living room and it never fails to make us smile and remember our special day every time we see it.

And now, I want to share this happiness with you by creating Ligaya Flowers. We make wood flower arrangements from tapioca shavings that are individually formed into different flower types and shapes. These hand made flowers are natural and soft to touch. Due to its nature, no two flowers are made the same and some may even have some slight imperfections, but that’s what makes them look more real and natural! Wood flowers are sustainable and they last forever with proper care. We also add drops of essential oils to make them smell amazing for a long time. No more throwing away live flowers after a week and spending too much on flower decorations that don’t last!
