I’m sure you’ve gathered by now that I love flowers. It will probably come as no surprise that seeing a couple’s dream event come to fruition is one of my greatest pleasures (seriously, I still cry at every wedding). But if you’re in the process of deciding who to hire to run your wedding, you’re probably wondering what makes me (and Heatherly as a company) stand out. It comes down to problem solving.
There is something about the adrenaline rush that comes from pulling off an event. And when you’re in the heat of it — with all its potential pitfalls, stressors and unknowns — the only thing you have left is your ability to make it happen, and to make it happen beautifully. That’s where I shine.
I began my career in California — first in production and then eventually in events. After working on reality shows, the Daytime Emmys, and even some intimate celebrity parties, I found my way to my true love: weddings. And that grew in to perfecting my floral design skills.
I made my way home to Charlotte, where I grew up, and officially launched Heatherly Event Design hiring a group of talented florists and planners. I’m a Malibu surfer girl at heart, my soul looking towards the oceans and mountain trails and bringing those natural, bohemian aesthetics into my work. When you think about it, a wedding is like climbing a challenging mountain, capturing a love story on film, and making it all look like a celebrity affair, all rolled in to one. My team and I bring our experiences and creativity to the table while working tirelessly to tell your unique story.
