FAQs

Can your packages be customized?

The packages I have created are the best value and the things most brides have wanted, including their wedding day coverages. However, I understand that not everyone needs the same things. Therefore, I offer both an a la carte pricing and packages. Not every wedding will need a large package, especially with smaller weddings and elopements. I can custom-build you a collection with everything you want. Suppose a package is missing something you like. In that case, I can add something from the a la carte menu to your package, or I can build a custom package for you too! My goal is to make sure you have everything included to document your day as stress-free as possible.

How soon do I need to book a wedding photographer?

With the Covid-19 pandemic, my advice would be as soon as possible. Wedding photographers usually book 1-2 years for weddings. Still, with the pandemic, all events from last year are taking dates for 2021 and 2022, so there is a high demand for popular dates. I can not stress enough to book your venue and wedding photographer both as soon as possible. These are two of the most important vendors for your wedding date.

What is the retainer? Do you offer payment plans?

J Renee Photography requires 30% of the total price with a signed agreement to hold your wedding date. The remainder is due in full 30 days before your event date. I will set up your invoicing online, where you can make payments via credit, debit, or ACH checking account online. You will be able to make payments anytime you wish, and it will update with your balance due. You will receive a receipt after every payment and a full accounting of your balance due. You are more than welcome to make a payment via cash/check in-person or mailed to my address as well. I will update your invoice once your payment has cleared. I am also able to accept credit/debit card payments in person as well.

Do you work by yourself or do you have others underneath your business?

I am the sole photographer at J Renee Photography; however, when a client want's a second photographer, I hire a second shooter to assist me. I edit all images taken by a second photographer and collect those images the same night as your wedding/event. I only work with the top professionals in the industry, so anyone I hire will be just as competent as I am with lighting, composition, and technique. Often professional's in our industry help each other out by second shooting for each other. I only work with the top-of-the-line professionals in my industry, and I do not hire anyone who is not an established professional in the wedding industry.

What if something happens and we need to reschedule, you get sick, we need to move our date, or we need to cancel?

In the unfortunate event something happened to me where I am unavailable to be there on your date; I would hire one of my colleagues to photograph the wedding while editing all of the images. I have been doing weddings for over ten years now, and I have never missed a wedding yet and don't intend to start anytime soon! If I had advanced knowledge, I would not be able to follow through on my commitment; and the wedding couple would not like to have a substitute photographer the day of their event, then I would offer a full refund and help them to find a professional to fill the date for them whom is in the same style and is as competent of a professional as myself. Suppose a couple needs to reschedule a wedding date; In that case, I am happy to accommodate by moving the date as long as the new date is available. A new agreement will need to be signed with the new dates. If the new date is not available, I will refund any payments minus the retainer and or cost of any services already rendered. For further information, please feel free to contact me directly! If a wedding client initiates the cancellation, they will receive a refund minus the retainer and the cost of any services already rendered.
