1. Introduction: What's your story?

Hi I am Daniel, the founder and head DJ of Luniks Entertainment. The start to my DJ story happened back in 2005-2006 as I prepared to head to college at The University of Illinois in Champaign. I always had a love for music ever since I was 10 years old. Whether a cassette, cd player or I pod, I always had my hands on a device to play music. This love intensified my freshman year in college as I joined a fraternity in which one of the older brothers was a DJ. I still remember the first party in which he was the DJ and instead of enjoying the party, I stood by his side all night watching every single thing he did as he deejayed and made the crowd dance! At this moment, I fell in love with deejaying and feel in love with making people dance and have a good time!

I soon pieced together a turntable set up at home to practice and start making mixes. Within one year, I was deejaying Fraternity parties all over campus and eventually making my way into one of the bars in Champaign. By my Junior year I was deejaying 3-5 nights per week all over campus. It was then, I was approached by a good friend to ask if I could deejay her sister's wedding. I happily accepted knowing that I had to prepare and make sure I was able to take care of her. I reached out to a mentor DJ who had done weddings and private events before, and he helped me train to become a great MC and coordinator. Once I did my first wedding, I realized that I had a passion for helping people celebrate important moments in their lives. I feel in love with every aspect of a wedding, from planning to schedule creation, and of course music! It has been 15 years and the loves and passion remain the same!

2. What's your experience as a wedding DJ? How many weddings have you done?

Over 500

3. How far in advance do couples need to book your services?

As long as we can accommodate, it doesn't matter.

4. What's your rate? What does that include?

Starts at $1400 for reception in one space/room and unlimited hours. The rate includes set up and tear down.

5. Are you available to travel if needed?

Yes, we travel anywhere nationally and internationally.

6. How would you describe your style?

Professional, tactful and tasteful while also fun, upbeat and personable.

7. What's your backup plan if there's an equipment malfunction? Do you bring backup equipment?

We have some back up equipment on site.

8. What's your sick day policy?

We have back DJs to replace any DJs that can perform due to sickness, emergencies, or Acts of God.

9. How do you motivate a shy crowd to dance? What do you do to motivate the crowd if nobody is dancing?

By Playing good music and reading the crowd from the start of the event. We take the time to get to know our couples and their guests to make sure we play to the right vibe and style of music for them. Our couples can submit a request before hand with no restrictions.

10. What is your cancellation and/or refund policy?

$500 non refundable deposit required upon booking. In the event you cancel this agreement, you agree that we will have lost the opportunity to offer our services to others and will incur additional costs in attempting to book our services for the date reserved for your event. Notice of cancellation received within (180) days before the event date 05/30/2021, will result in a $500 cancellation fee which can be paid by forfeiting the deposit. This fee is due (14) days after the notice of the cancellation. Any cancellation within one hundred (100) days of the event date 05/30/2021, will require full payment of any balance due to Luniks Entertainment. This final balance is due (14) days after the notice of the cancellation.
