Welcome! I’m Samantha May. I’m a wedding and lifestyle photographer based in Sacramento, California. I’ve been passionate about art since I was a little girl and always loved the opportunity to create…whether through photography, painting, sketching, or design. I feel fortunate to be a professional photographer doing what I love as a career for so many years now! I’m very passionate about it, and It’s such a blessing to see the reactions and smiling faces of my clients when they receive their photos…I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world! Creating photos is more than just a transaction to me. In fact, my clients are like family to me and I like to get to know each one on a personal level and keep in touch over the years.

From the gentle touch to the full embrace, no detail is too small for me. I love natural light and timeless photos as they can be appreciated many generations from now as much as today. I also love to document authentic, candid, and raw emotions. My style of shooting is influenced by romance, texture, movement, art, and journalism. But what’s most important to me is that my clients are extremely satisfied with my work and I exceed their expectations. Whatever ideas you may have, I’m open and flexible so if you have any stylistic preferences please share them with me and I’ll do my best to carry out your vision in a way that we can both be proud of!

On a personal level, I’m laid back, laugh and smile easily, and always enjoy a good movie or nice dinner out. When I have a little extra time, I also love dancing and listening to music…probably the artist in me.
