I love when people tell me they’re awkward. Because I know I’m about to take the best photo they’ve ever seen of themselves.

Being a photographer for over ten years, I can truly say that the best part of my job is that I’ve made lifelong friends through sharing so many new experiences around the world together. Having your photo taken is a vulnerable, raw experience that bonds us long after the camera is put away. It’s the best gift when couples come back years later and tell me their photos can take them instantly back to how they felt when we were together- climbing glaciers in Alaska, watching the sunrise in the Sawtooths, or eating pizza at their favorite neighborhood pub.
