KCTG was formed in 2003, but traces its roots to 1984 and the company formerly known as Metropolitan Transportation Services, Inc. (MTSI). MTSI was founded 23 years ago by William George, Sr. In 1997 the company was sold to Coach USA, the nation’s largest passenger ground transportation provider. In 2002 Bill George, Jr. repurchased KCI Shuttle from Coach USA, and one year later, repurchased Yellow Cab and Carey Limousine. In July 2007, the company was acquired by SuperShuttle International, a division of Transdev, the world’s largest passenger ground transportation provider.
