About Me

Hello there, I’m so glad you found me! My name is Jeff and I am the heart of J. Darren Photography! Darren is my middle name, I get asked that a lot. Let me tell you a bit about myself and what I do. My start with photography was back in 2004, when I started taking photos as an outlet. I felt peace and enjoyment in seeing the beauty and life in the world. I really enjoyed shooting landscapes and things like that, never intending that it would ever become anything more.

Taking photos gave me a good creative outlet and I had a lot fun with it. As it turned out, about 4 years later, I started to view my “real” job as a little, shall we say, unfulfilling. So I did a little soul searching and felt the direction to take on photography as a career. I then committed myself to pursue photography on a more professional level. I was excited and scared at the same time: after all, shooting a wedding is major responsibility — no second chances, right?
