Our Story

It’s been a lifelong dream of ours to own a farm and, to be honest, we were unsure if it would ever be more than a dream. In May of 2017, after years of searching, we finally found a picture perfect 1870’s farm that had been in the same family since it was built. With rolling hills and pastures, alongside woods and seasonal views of Alum Creek Lake we took a leap of faith and purchased the farm, along with some additional acreage.

The timing couldn’t have been more perfect! I had recently sold my successful home decor business and was longing for a new project. With Bob’s 30 years experience in renovating homes, and my background in design, we went straight to work on the 1870’s farmhouse. It’s now the modern farmhouse we always envisioned.

Next, we turned our attention to the 5000 square foot barn. We knew it could be something magical and an awesome place to host family barbecues and weddings but, with a dirt floor, cobwebs and a horse smell, it was going to take a lot of determination, motivation and hard work to get it there. Fast forward several months and the barn is every bit of everything we’d ever imagined for it. From the yards and yards of string lights, and the antique chandelier, to the gorgeous farmhouse tables, pure white backdrop, and vintage Lord & Burnham greenhouse– it really is stunning!

The wildflowers, sunflowers, and pumpkins we planted in Spring are the icing on the cake and just in time for the family wedding we’ve been asked to host.

Recently, we’ve been asked to open our farm to a few more couples to tie the knot and start their lives together! With our background in residential and commercial rentals and an amazing property we’d be honored to share, we’d love to talk to you about your special event and arrange a tour!
