Your KC DJ is owned and operated by husband and wife, Johnny & Safiyyah Mills. We are a boutique brand amongst Kansas City based DJ companies, as we do not book multiple DJs. To compensate for double inquires and emergencies (none so far),
we have built close relationships with some local DJs who have a similar performance style. Johnny is a turntablist, which means that he mixes live music on turntables when performing, think “club style.” The majority of our clients book us because they are looking for a DJ who can play to a diverse crowd (ages and cultures) & will customize service. Per a majority of client reviews, Johnny’s musical knowledge, Emcee skills and creativity of performance rank high. Clients also speak to our organizational skills, helpfulness during the planning process and most importantly the fact that their guests always have a great time.
We understand that our approach may not be for everyone and we are okay with this. In fact, we will refer a different DJ company at the potential client’s request if we are not a good fit. Your KC DJ primarily markets within the wedding industry, but we also book corporate, non-profit and other private events.
