Enjoy an elegance lovingly preserved for you and your guests inside the Whitehall mansion in Louisville, KY. This 19th century antebellum home offers grandeur, grace and style, making it the perfect setting for your special event. The interior reflects the home as it was in 1909 with wall coverings, carpets and antiques reminiscent of the period.

The spacious gardens and grounds, which may be rented in addition to the mansion, make an impressive presentation for open-air or tented events.

The preservation of Whitehall’s mansion and gardens must be the first consideration of the staff in all activities taking place on this historic property. Whitehall thanks its clients for their interests in this very special site and appreciates their assistance in preserving this property while it is in their care.

THE MANSION

The mansion is fully-air conditioned and boasts a large catering kitchen and ample restroom facilities on both the first and second floor of the house. The open floor plan allows great flexibility and creativity for any occasion. A spacious double-parlor can accommodate a small combo or DJ for dancing.

Wedding parties are welcome to dress for the occasion in the bedrooms on the second floor of the mansion.

Total Indoor Square Feet: 6,217

Indoor Capacity: The mansion can accommodate up to 125 guests for a cocktail style reception and up to 75 guests for a seated dinner. Additional seating is available on the front and side porches.

THE GARDENS

Imagine standing under the canopy of a delicate clematis archway … strolling through a hydrangea garden that is filled with colorful blooms enjoying the splendor of a formal garden reminiscent of a by-gone era.

The Formal Garden is a romantic setting for a garden wedding. The Garden Terrace, adjacent to the Formal Garden, is both a beautiful and convenient surface for receptions, whether open-air or tented, and can even be the setting for a wedding ceremony. Convenient outdoor restroom facilities, fully air-conditioned and heated, are available to guests as part of the rental of the grounds and gardens.

Formal Garden: Approximately 200 seated guests for an outdoor ceremony.

Garden Terrace: Approximately 250 guests may be accommodated for a tented event.
