I started this business a few years ago after working as a Set Decorator in the film industry for over 30 years. I always knew that at some point that I wanted to start my own business. A business where I could take people out for a fun time and share my knowledge and love of the natural wonders that surround us, but I wanted to do in a fun and unique way. Thats when I thought of a vintage school bus.
While working on a TV Series for NBC, I found on craigslist in Twin Falls, Idaho an old 1945 Chevy school bus. Though it was rough, it had the style I was looking for. After buying the bus it took me and my master mechanic, Bill Ruby, 5 1/2 years to restore and update the bus.
My main objective was I wanted the bus to be elegant and feel like it was taking you back in time as well as being up to date for safety and comfort. The seats are deluxe low backed shuttle bus seats that I had reupholstered to enhance the look of the 1940's and I replaced the old engine with more current diesel engine for reliability.
