I have been decorating cakes since 1986 and happened upon this career quite by accident. I took a simple cake decorating class with a friend and discovered a hidden talent!

My first cakes were for family and friends and word began to spread until I found myself working for a caterer making wedding cakes, which by the way, I vowed never to do. I thought it was great fun drawing cartoon characters on birthday cakes and thought wedding cakes would be too scary. One cousin and one niece later I was on my way gaining confidence in the art of wedding cake decorating and construction.
