Steelcut Flower Co. is a full-service Baltimore-based wedding floral design business. Founded by Mary Ellen LaFreniere in 2014. Emma and Mary Ellen met when Emma hired Mary Ellen to do the flowers for her own Baltimore wedding. As a client, Emma described her color palette with words like “parchment and vanilla,” and she e-mailed Mary Ellen intimidatingly detailed pdfs detailing how she wanted her flowers styled. When Mary Ellen was ready to hire, Emma was the obvious choice, bringing with her a keen and meticulous sense of design from her background in architecture, coupled with an insatiable love for flowers that was fostered at a young age in her Grandmother’s garden.
