Meet Nicki Metcalf,

I’m first and foremost a believer, second a wife, a mamma to Tux an artist, and a lover of dogs, rock music, and abstract art. I’m a Virginia girl with equal love for California sun and New York grunge.

I see the most beauty in imperfect things. Ripped jeans. Asymmetrical art. Vintage everything. And a photo with a little girt and grain. I love things that are rugged and little bit off the beaten path.

When I see the emotion in other people, it charges my life. I learn something from every couple I photograph — not just about photography or business or art. But about what it looks like to love people unconditionally. About how families can come together even after hard things happen. And how the strength of community shines through in the smallest details of our lives.

Each wedding is different. Each couple is different. But every one that I’ve worked with has brought me new perspective and a new appreciation for how love can change peoples’ lives.
