There is something genuine and beautiful about people when they are in love. I love the anticipation and excitement for the bride and groom to see each other for the first time on their wedding day, and it is my privilege to be in the special position as a wedding photographer to tell the story in beautiful images. Love also extends to friends and family on the wedding day, and it’s amazing to be able to capture their pride and happiness through photographs.
My approach for weddings is to tell the story of the wedding day like a fly on the wall. I tend to let the events unfold naturally as I capture the real reactions through the day, while ensuring that I capture all the intricate details, happiness and fun. When the timing is right, I also mix in a bit of traditional approach to direct my brides and grooms under the best light and angles for beautiful yet natural portraits. I think it is important to be able to be flexible and balance the right amount of photojournalism, spontaneity, and traditional wedding photography for different brides and grooms with unique personalities. The day passes by so fast, and in the years after the wedding, I want my brides and grooms to be able to reflect back on the day and remember all the little details through my photos.
