Here is a little about the Greg and LaRae individually –

Greg was a photojournalist working for the Frontline Newspaper in Georgia and specialized as a Combat Photographer and as a Visual Information Specialist during his time serving in the United States Army for the 2nd Heavy Brigade Combat Team 3rd Infantry Division. During his time in service and deployment to Mosul, Iraq his accomplishments include: four Army Commendations, two Army Achievement Medals for his coverage of the war, and placing 1st, 2nd and 3rd in Fort Stewart art competitions. Greg’s work has been utilized by: National Geographic, New York Times, LA Times and BBC World News to name a few publications. After his service in the military Greg was selected for the Eddie Adams Workshop in upstate N.Y. where he received the LIFE Books award and Honorable Mention for the B&W Spider Awards and this year had 3 images win the international award for photojournalism & portraiture; and in addition has been published 7 times in the nations top photography publication, “Shutter Magazine”.

LaRae has her undergraduate degree in K-12 Art Education and currently serves the Sioux Falls School District as a Middle School and High School Art Teacher working with troubled youth. She maintains her Masters Degree in Special Education, having also worked as a Behavioral Specialist for the district. Previous to her time as an educator LaRae has worked at various art galleries, the Black Hills Forest Service, and has worked helping disabled children in various settings. She is not only an accomplished teacher and artist but also has a passion for; travel, running, the outdoors, the mid-west, hunting and most importantly her family! As of 2020, LaRae will be focusing on teaching in the Sioux Falls School District and serving our community at Jefferson High School and coaching track on a permanent bases.

Creativity Meets: Artistry, Love & Commitment

Well after 20 years of photographing weddings we have begun a new chapter. Greg & LaRae Photography has now been absorbed into Reality Media creating Media, Marketing & Advertising for commercial companies and non-profits. Greg is Reality’s Creative Director and will continue to photograph business head shots, fashion, & professional portraits and creating video reels and commercials, but we will no longer be actively booking weddings, family sessions or high school seniors. We thank you so much for the many years of blessing and being blessed. We still are creating but the Lord has opened an amazing opportunity for our family.
