Green Gables Farm is a unique wedding venue located in Statesville, North Carolina. This elegant farm is nestled among rolling horse pastures, green meadows, stately trees and a tranquil pond. Guests are greeted by a stately tree-lined drive with scenic views of manicured grounds. Green Gables Farm offers a beautiful 35-acre property with elegant indoor and outdoor event spaces to accommodate all of your wedding event needs.

Facilities and Capacity

This venue provides multiple indoor and outdoor spaces with accommodations for up to 220 wedding guests. Ceremonies can be held on their front lawn with a backdrop of a 200-year-old oak tree and rolling hills. For larger events and receptions, their 4,000-square-foot custom-designed Outdoor Pavilion features huge timbers, beautiful architecture, soaring ceilings, custom wrought-iron chandeliers, a stained concrete floor, massive stone columns and a poplar bark wall. The 3,000-square-foot Farm House, features a bridal suite as well as a groom suite, two fireplaces, a furnished dining room, a pin-paneled den and a sunroom with a baby grand piano. The perfect spot for the wedding party to get dressed and spend the day.

Services Offered

Green Gables Farm offers venue rental for weddings and other large social and corporate events. They offer their personalized Online Planner Tool, Booked Couples Resource Guide to make your wedding event as easy and stress-free as possible. A lighted parking lot is available adjacent to the Outdoor Pavilion, and luxury bathrooms are located on-site. Event services offered include the following:

History

Christi Ratcliff purchased Green Gables Farm in 2021 after their son was married at the farm. She and her entire family enjoyed the experience so much that when she found out it was for sale…she knew it was a fit. The previous owners, Cecil and Susan Stallard bought the farm in 2000 and built pastures and a paddock, decorated the farmhouse, and purchased and cared for several horses, goats, and a donkey. After hosting their son’s rehearsal dinner at the farm, they realized they wanted to share their farm as an events venue.

Green Gables Farm is located off I-40 at Exit 150 in Statesville, North Carolina. This venue is 20 minutes from Mooresville, 40 minutes from downtown Charlotte, 45 minutes from Winston Salem, and 30 minutes from Hickory.

The Pavilion holds 220 with a DJ. If you have over 220, we have PLENTY of room around the Pavilion for tents to hold the additional guests. The Pavilion + lawn areas can hold 300+. The barn holds 150 people.
To reserve your date, email us at [email protected] letting us know you are ready to book one of our available dates. We suggest you email us stating you are ready to book your preferred date AND a backup date in case your preferred date is unavailable (can happen with multiple bookings). Prior to booking a date, we really hope that you were able to come visit us in person, though it is not necessary. You can request a tour on our tour page. Dates are reserved on a first-requested basis. Whomever has requested to start the contract process from us by email first for a specific date will be first in line. To reserve your spot, you will need to put down a $1000 non-refundable reserve date fee. The balance will be divided between two payments - 9 months from the event and the final payment is due 4 months before your event.
No. In the industry, many venues have minimums because they make a 10% to 15% commission from the caterer based on how much is spent on food and drinks. We take a different approach. We want our food and beverage options to be in line with YOUR budget and handled by you.
Yes, there is a PLAN B. If your guest list is 150 and under you can choose the Barn and/or the Pavilion. If your guest list is above 150 we will use the Pavilion. The call will be made no later than 9 am the morning of your wedding.
