Meet the Team

Johanna – Owner, Cake Artist

I believe every moment in life should be celebrated.

I am a Seattle based baker who loves to dream up desserts that will make a lasting impression on your sweet tooth and your guests. I am a sucker for anything classic and vintage. I love hospitality and serving others. And I believe that good food has a way of connecting people together. We feel such an honor to have a part in that with our desserts.

I have loved to be in the kitchen since I was a little girl. My mom taught me the importance and value of baking from scratch with high quality ingredients. I am mostly self taught with haven taken a short course in pastry baking and decorating Bonnie Gordon Confectionary Arts College in Toronto. I am truly happiest when I am creating.

Delicately Sweet Confections began in 2010 as a creative outlet. We began our days at local farmers markets in the Seattle area and Eastside. We’ve since grown expanding our reach through Weddings, Birthday celebrations, events and you can also find us in local coffee shops. Valerie (Johanna’s mom) has since joined her – She has her hand in baking, supply sourcing and everything in between. It has been fun to go full circle – back to the kitchen together where it all started.
