Joseph Mancebo, aka DJ Axl Joe is a trained DJ for 30 plus years. His career began in the mid 70’s, as a music collector & avid listener that loved to hear mostly Doo Wop and Rock N’ Roll (the 50’s and 60’s, to be precise) songs. Soon, he had begun to branch out, and listen to a lot of other different music styles, and genres. Many people were quite amazed at how such a young man, could know so much music at such an early age.

How and where do one go to select our music for our Wedding Ceremony and Reception?

I always tell the couples to pay attention to what they listen on the radio, internet etc. If they do not know, I give them a list of the most popular songs. The DJ can help the couple select their music as their music library is varied. It is best to go by decades and music genres ( styles of music) The internet is a great source to find your favorite go to song for your first dance etc.

Do you MCee or you have someone else Mcee?

The MC ( Master of Ceremonies) and the DJ work really hard to make your Wedding a total success from the moment the bride walks down the isle and says I DO to the last call for alcohol and beyond. The balance between the DJ and the MC keeps the flow of your event, and organized with all your mini events in progress, keeping your party in check and everybody having a great time.

Do you take request from guest?

It all depends on the couple. Some couples want us to take request, so we tell their guest requesting a song the music theme selected by the couple, so we can keep the music flow going. We do not want to kill the dancing vibe on the dance floor or "kill" the party mood with a breakup song.

Do you have a deposit requirement and when is it due and do you offer a payment plan?

We require a 30% deposit for our services and it's due when you submit a signed contract. The balance will be due 7 days of your wedding. We do offer payment plans.

Are you insured?

Yes, many venues require us to carry equipment and professional insurance over $500,000 in coverage.
