10 Questions with KJ Pettigrew

1. Introduction: What's your story?

Hi I’m KJ Pettigrew, Co-founder and owner of JP Framework Wedding Photography + Videography. My passion for weddings and wedding videography started over 10 years ago when I noticed there seems to be something missing in the footage from my own wedding. As a videographer I knew our vendors captured the right things but the moments seems to lack some of the emotion of the moment. I didn't want that for others. So I partnered with a great friend and photographer, Alex Jackson to create a well rounded and experienced company. One with enough talent and skill to frame all your timeless moments in an elegant way.

2. How long have you been filming weddings? How many weddings have you filmed?

Individually I have been a videographer since 2010. Its what I got my degree in. As a company JP Framework has been in business since 2015. To this date, JP Framework has framed 100+ Weddings all throughout the country. We are based in Atlanta, Georgia BUT we are willing to go wherever our clients decide to have there special day!
So if you are thinking of a destination wedding, keep us in mind!

3. How would you describe your videography style?

JP Framework offers our clients a range of useful services including wedding photography and videography so we fit our style to meet your needs. More often than not our clients come to us for traditional and timeless films that will stand the test of time. Films that really capture the emotion to bring you back to the moment!

4. How well in advance should couples book their wedding videographer?

We find that in general clients tend to book the videographer near the end of their planning, although they tend to watch the videos more often!
We ask in general that clients book at a minimum of 4 months in advance, although we do offer early bird incentives for those that are willing to book further out .

5. What are the different packages that you offer and which one is your most popular package?

JP Framework offers our clients a range of useful services including wedding photography and videography. Our packages include all day coverage, drone footage, multiple cameras for cinematic point of view, the ability to shoot in multiple locations, and raw footage. We can also provide couples with unique save-the-dates. Full-feature, high-definition, and highlight videos are all available for couples to take advantage of.

Our most popular package is called our "Full Frame" and its a 2 person videography crew to capture you from the 1st brush stroke of your make up artist to your exit kiss!

6. Are you the wedding videographer who will be filming on the wedding day? How many camera people and cameras will be operating on the day?

Typically I, KJ Pettigrew or my Partner Alex Jackson will be the lead videographer for your wedding with a possible second shooter, if you desire. Our client favorite package has two videographers and at least 3 cameras for prime cinematic point of view.

7. Do you charge a travel fee? For what distance? What does that cover?

JP Framework packages include travel within 10o mile radius of the city of Atlanta. Outside of that radius, travel fees are negotiated based on distance and time of year. We know how pricy weddings can be, so in every quote we take into account how we can save our clients money.

8. How do you back-up your footage to ensure no footage is lost and for how long do you keep the footage after the wedding?

Each wedding day we frame, capture and store your video footage according to a in house procedure with 2 levels of redundancy. We do your best to frame you well!
After you receive you films your highlight video will be uploaded online to a host, like you YouTube for your enjoyment. We also gift our clients with custom engraved USB to keep offline with all their final films. Within our in-house serves we keep films for an average of 2 years.

9. How long after the wedding will the couple receive the video? And how will the video be delivered?
