1. Introduction: What's your story?
Hi! I’m Jenn the owner and lead photographer at Jenn Alberts Photography. My photography journey started very early in life and I’ve been passionately pursuing my love of images since then. I have over 20 years of experience in photography and 12 years in weddings. I have a bachelors degree in photography from one of the most prestigious photography schools in the world. Photography and retouching are my full time business and nothing beats doing what you love everyday!
One of my favorite things of being a wedding photographer has been a bit of an unexpected gift. Being the wedding photographer basically grants me a VIP pass to each wedding which in turn gives me a real inside and in-depth experience with each couple. Many of the couples I’ve worked with have returned for maternity, newborn, family, and even commercial photography for their own businesses. This has allowed me to be a part of people’s lives at some of the most important and amazing times. I’ve grown some really wonderful friendships through this process and I’m so thankful!
2. How long have you been shooting weddings? How many weddings have you photographed?
I have been shooting weddings for 12+ years and photographed 150+ weddings. I usually shoot about 10-15 weddings a year.
3. How would you describe your photography style?
My style of photography has been described as very vibrant and full of life. I love natural colors and I am always looking to create a timeless look for wedding and portrait photography. My goal is to capture portraits that are intimate, organic, sophisticated, creative, and that tell your story.
I love to capture candids, special moments, and details as they happen but I'm always ready to organize and guide people as well. Sometimes the best candid moments happen when you've posed a couple and then something unplanned happens and you capture the best candid!
4. How well in advance should couples book their wedding photographer?
I take a limited number of weddings each year to ensure that I am offering my best energy, time, and talents to each couple. I encourage booking 12-18 months before your wedding day.
5. What are the different packages that you offer and which one is your most popular package?
Jenn Alberts Photography offers customization on all packages. I believe that every wedding is unique and I want your wedding package to fit you and your wedding in the best way possible. I have a deposit of $500 and couples can add or take away things from their set packages until the wedding date with some limitations.
Packages start at $2800 for one photographer, high res digital images, and up to 6 hrs of photography.
My most popular package is $3650 - 8 hrs for two photographers, custom editing on all photos, online gallery, print credit, and usb and digital delivery of high res images.
6. Are you the wedding photographer who will be shooting on the wedding day? Who else is there in your team?
Yes, absolutely, my name is my business and I will be your photographer. I have a trusted team of second shooters that I work with and a list of recommended vendors that I can share.
7. Do you charge a travel fee? For what distance? What does that cover?
These prices are good for 2022 and are for EACH WAY from the wedding/reception
$50/hr from and to Spokane - according to Google maps
first 30 min travel are free (each way)
If wedding/reception is more then 60miles from Spokane and ends after 8pm then expenses will be as follows depending on the location
Hotel, Flight, Rental Car, Gas
Please inquire for your particular circumstances because I do love to travel!
8. Are albums or prints included in your packages?
I always offer prints in my package because I want people to see their wedding photos printed by a professional printer. Also I think many times people keep meaning to print photos out and they don't get around to it. I usually offer a small sampling of prints or a print credit. Albums are available as an add-on.
9. How long after the wedding will the couple receive the images? How will they be delivered?
My usual delivery time for wedding images is 6-8 weeks. I usually send a preview the week after the wedding of 20-30 images so people can share some images right away with friends and family!
10. What is your cancellation and/or refund policy?
If you cancel your wedding then I retain the $500 deposit. If you postpone or move your date then I will transfer your deposit to the new date if it is available.
