10 Questions with Lauren Kuznia

1. Introduction: What's your story?

Hi friend! I'm Lauren Kuznia, the owner of Lauren Kuznia Photography (and Design). My love for serving people started when I was a young girl. LOVE making people's experiences amazing. I started photography when I was younger, grabbed my mom's camera and started photographing anything like landscape to friends etc. Years later, I decided to make it a business in 2018. I've grown to love serving couples more and more and I'm so excited to have dance parties with you and sing on the top of our lungs. So what are you waiting for, let's go on this awesome adventure called life together! :)

2. How long have you been shooting weddings? How many weddings have you photographed?

I've been shooting weddings since 2018. I started second shooting with other photographers to gain experience and learn what goes on during a wedding day. Since then i've grown to having 12 weddings a year and it's been the best and will always love doing what I do for couples.

3. How would you describe your photography style?

My photography styled is a mixture. I would say I'm warm but also true to life. I started out very moody but have grown to love that nature looking photo but with some warm tones to my photos. Besides the look of my photos, my style also includes being joyful and adventurous. My number one priority is to have couples taken care of.

4. How well in advance should couples book their wedding photographer?

I highly recommend a year out at the latest. Only because some people won't know their schedules two years out. I've had couples from scheduling a year out to even 6 months out and it's been a great experience for all my couples. I make sure they're taken care of from day one.

5. What are the different packages that you offer and which one is your most popular package?

I offer three type of packages ranging from 6 hours to 10 hours of coverage. They include the hour coverage, your images at high quality (with photo limit), to having a second photographer and a complimentary engagement session (8 hours and up) to online gallery to share with friends and family and then of course the print release. I also offer wedding stationery (10 years of graphic design experience). The most popular package is definitely my 8 hour because people love having that second photographer but also will that engagement session as well :)

6. Are you the wedding photographer who will be shooting on the wedding day? Who else is there in your team?

I will be your main photographer for your wedding unless I'm either booked that day or something out of my control happens but don't worry, I'll make sure to keep all my couples in the loop just in case :)

7. Do you charge a travel fee? For what distance? What does that cover?

I cover up to 60 miles from my house and then from there it'll be 50 cents a mile there and back. If the wedding is outside the state and needs flight travel then there would be a custom quote of that.

8. Are albums or prints included in your packages?

Unfortunately at this time I don't offer that but can definitely refer some awesome companies I've worked with in the past!

9. How long after the wedding will the couple receive the images? How will they be delivered?

For engagement sessions I say up to 3 weeks for delivery and for weddings up to 8 weeks for delivery. These photos will be coming from an online photo gallery called Pic-Time where you can view and download photos and share with friends and family.

10. What is your cancellation and/or refund policy?

As my cancellation clause states: If for any reason Client cancels this contract prior to or on the wedding date, Photographer shall keep the retainer of 50% (non-refundable) and any monies paid on the date of cancellation. All cancellations must be made in writing and signed by all contracted parties. If Client fails to supply written cancellation or cancels within thirty (30) days of the contracted date, Client shall be required to pay the full balance of the contract.

For refunds if you have paid the full amount you would receive your 50% back but the retainer would stay with me since it's non-refundable.
