1. Introduction: What's your story?

My name is Cameron, and I'm the owner and lead photographer of CM Photography! My photography career began with families, seniors, and solo portraits, and it's slowly evolved into being mostly wedding-based. I wish that I had started documenting weddings a lot sooner, because I found that I absolutely love them. There's nothing I find more exhilerating than the fast-paced environment of a wedding day where I just get to photograph people on the best day of their lives. Being a Colorado native provides me with a deep appreciation for our beautiful state, inspiring me to incorporate our gorgeous views in any wedding I can.

2. How long have you been shooting weddings? How many weddings have you photographed?

I shot my first wedding in 2017, so I'm going on 5 years of experience there. I went full-time with my business in 2021 and have 20 weddings under my belt so far with about 15 left on the calendar for 2022. I'm limiting the amount of weddings I'm taking for the year because I really enjoy building a deep connection with my couples so that the wedding day is easy and they don't even have to think about the photography.

3. How would you describe your photography style?

My style leans heavily towards documentary, just capturing the day as it naturally unfolds, directing only when needed. I can't stand heavily warm editing on photos, so the colors in my photography are true-to-life. I consider my style to be modern but also timeless, so my images can be appreciated for generations to come.

4. How well in advance should couples book their wedding photographer?

To be safe, you should start looking for a photographer about a year before your wedding, especially if you want an engagement session. This leaves plenty of time to schedule the engagement session so you can use the photos for Save-The-Dates and invitations! If you have a particular photographer in mind reach out to them ASAP.

Peak booking months are November-February for me, and currently I'm booking about 8 months in advance. Summer months book pretty quickly, with weekends being the most popular dates.

5. What are the different packages that you offer and which one is your most popular package?

I currently offer 4 packages. Two of them include videography services! My most popular package is $3250 and includes 8 hours of coverage, a 2nd shooter, and an engagement session. My photo+video packages are $4250 & $5500 depending on how much coverage you need, and my 6 hour photography-only package is $1850. Add-ons include engagement sessions, wedding album, photo booth, and 2nd photographer. Standalone hourly rate is $500/hr.

6. Are you the wedding photographer who will be shooting on the wedding day? Who else is there in your team?

I am the lead photographer most of the time. I do offer associate packages if I am personally booked for a date, and in those cases there would be a separate lead photographer taking the reins for the day. There can be up to three of us at your wedding depending on the package you choose. For our biggest package it would be me, a 2nd shooter, and a dedicated videographer. I bring along two cameras for the day, and I require my 2nd shooters to do the same.

7. Do you charge a travel fee? For what distance? What does that cover?

There is no travel fee for weddings happening within 100 miles of the Denver metro area. In all other cases, travel fees are included in the initial quote I send to you. I am always down to travel for a wedding, so I'll do some quick calculations for travel/lodging wherever you're tying the knot and include it in your quote.

8. Are albums or prints included in your packages?

Albums/prints may be purchased in an a la carte fashion directly from within your wedding gallery. I am available for designing your album if you want to take that burden off of your own shoulders.

9. How long after the wedding will the couple receive the images? How will they be delivered?

I deliver all weddings digitally via an online gallery. A physical thumbdrive may be purchased at the request of my couples. I go through and choose the best images from your wedding day to edit. I generally deliver weddings four to six weeks after the event.

10. What is your cancellation and/or refund policy?

I collect a $750 non-refundable retainer at time of booking, and any monies paid up to and before any cancellation is non-refundable. Depending on scheduling, a retainer may be applied to a new date in the case of a reschedule.
