1. Introduction: What's your story?

In 2004 I began working with brides in Northern California. I believe a bride’s true beauty should shine through and my goal is for each of my brides to look and feel their best on their special day. Not only have I been serving the brides of Northern California for 17 years, I have been teaching professional makeup application in Sacramento, CA, as well as Seattle, Reno, Denver and Salt Lake City since 2008.

2. What's your experience as a bridal hair & makeup artist? How many brides are in there in your portfolio?

I first began working in the beauty industry as a freelance makeup artist in 2004, focusing on bridal and natural glamour. In 2008,I became an esthetician, expanding into natural skin care and body waxing. I love caring for my clients, bringing the beauty out in them. Also in 2008 I began teaching professional makeup application as one of the founders of Method Makeup Academy. In 2012 I became the sole owner of both Personify Bridal and Method Makeup Academy, expanding the curriculum and program of the school. I have also expanded the range of my bridal team, making sure all of my brides achieve their perfect look to complement their perfect day. In the 17 years since I began working as a professional makeup artist, I have helped 100s of brides achieve their very special look. Personify Bridal averages 35-45 weddings each year.

3. What are the different packages that you offer and which one is your most popular package?

We offer our brides the option of Pre-Event Trial Runs in Person or Digital/Zoom Consults

We offer hair and makeup services, just makeup services, just hair services or, most preferred, the option to mix and match services. We do not require more than one person to book our services, meaning we have no minimum party size required to book. We also can do large parties of 10-15 persons in a 3-4 hour window.

Additional Person – Just Hair (Includes hair styling) $100 per person

Additional Person – Just Makeup (Includes full makeup, false lashes and waterproofing) $75 per person

Flower Girl/Jr Bridesmaid (For persons under 12yrs) $55 per person

Travel – Fee may apply depending on location of event. If your event is within the Greater Sacramento Area there is no travel fee.

Non-Bridal Event – Hair and Makeup (Includes full hair, makeup, false lashes and waterproofing) $150 per person in Studio

Non-Bridal Event (1st Person) – Hair and Makeup (Includes full hair, makeup, false lashes and waterproofing) $175 per person on location (May incur additional travel fees based on travel time)

Non-Bridal Event Additional Person – Hair and Makeup (Includes full hair, makeup, false lashes and waterproofing) $150 per person on location (May incur additional travel fees based on travel time)

(Services provided in Personify Studio for parties under 3 persons, all other parties sizes Personify Bridal Team will travel to bride’s location.)

4. Do you have a team of assistants or will you be the only artist that day? What will happen if you're sick or have an emergency on the wedding day?

Personify Bridal works with a large team of artists, insuring we can do large parties, as well as multiple events in a single day. Based on the size of the party getting services they will be assigned 1-5 artists to properly accommodate them within a 3-4hr window. The artist assigned for the Pre-Event Trial, will be the lead on the Day of. Should any member of our team get sick, another artist will be sent to take their place. As our team is large and very well trained, there is no need your event won't be as perfect as you deserve.

5. Do you charge a travel fee? For what distance? What does that cover?

We offer a large travel range that covers all of Northern California. We will travel as far south as Yosemite, as far North as Shasta or Humbolt, as far east as Reno, NV and as far west as San Francisco. Travel fees may accrue and some of the farther destinations may incur an overnight fee. Locations further afield, i.e. Las Vegas, Hawaii, also included in our travel range based on travel fees and lodging fees. Our team is ready to there where ever you may dream of tying the knot.

6. Can the bride book a wedding makeup trial appointment and will you also do a trial before the wedding?

We offer three options of a pre-event consultation.
1) We offer an in person Trial Run for Hair and Makeup for $150. We also allow Just Hair or Just Makeup trials if desired.
2) A complimentary Zoom consult for our long distance brides
3) A complimentary digital consult done via email and text.

7. What beauty products do you use and would you be open to the bride using her own make-up?

We use a variety of brands in our kits, ranging from MAC Cosmetics, Ben Nye, RCMA, PPI, Kryolan, Touch in Sol, Morphe, Fenti, etc. Should a bride choose to use her own cosmetics we would be more than happy to accommodate, we understand some brides have concerns about allergies to unknown cosmetics, or have particular preferences.

8. How can you make the bride's wedding makeup last and look good in photos?

Our 17 years of specializing in bridal makeup in the hot summers of Sacramento, Ca, we have developed a 3-part waterproofing system that stands the test of tears, sweat and summer heat. Our brides will wear all day and remain looking as beautiful as the moment we left their side. As a bonus we leave each of our brides with a complimentary touch up kit that holds all they need to survive their special day.

9. How long will makeup take on the day and how long will you be staying for on the day?

Depending on the size of the bridal party we require a 2-4 hr window. Parties of 1-2 persons require 2 hrs, parties of 2-7 persons require 3hrs, parties of 8-12 persons require 4hrs. Parties 12 & up will require more time. For those brides who are more comfortable with an artist on site can reserve an artist with a waiting fee which averages $50 an hr per artist desired. As our makeup lasts 18hrs, this service is rarely required. For brides who need multiple looks in a single day, we offer packages to make sure a stylist is on hand for multiple makeup and hair changes throughout the day.

10. What is your cancellation and/or refund policy?

If a wedding is cancelled the Booking Fee of $150 is non-refundable, in addition we do charge a cancellation fee of 30% of total if the event is not cancelled within 4 weeks of event date.
If our bride's event must be postponed due to COVID-19 we will not enforce our cancellation fee of 30%. The Booking fee of $150 however will not be refunded. We will do all we can to reschedule to a date that fits our bride's needs. No additional booking fee will be charged to move to a new date.
